Outstanding bar for drinks and food. Met friends here for drinks and a catch up and the staff not only welcomed us but they warmly welcomed the dog! Not only do they welcome dogs, they have doggy treats at the door. The staff are outstanding...and nothing is too much trouble. When you visit you MUST try the cocktails! The barman is an expert at making them.More

Came to Hemingway’s and as always the service and food was amazing. This is my favourite bar in Leith and I would recommend to anyone who comes to this area to check it out

Been here a few times and it has always been great. Came in today to try the new menu and was absolutely blown away. The lamb was so tasty along with the tempura broccoli. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was lovely. Can’t wait...to come back and try more from the menu.More

Super bar. Dog friendly. Bar prices very fair but wine and Guinness quality very good. Brought us bowl of water for dog without being asked and great music inside.

We have been meaning to come here for ages & it was worth the wait. An elegant restaurant with great decor and seriously opulent toilets! We chose a few of the ‘small plates’ for lunch - the arancini were insanely delicious - but the other...choices were equally as tasty. The mocktail strawberry daiquiri was delicious & they serve amarone by the glass, a very rare thing. On a sunny Leith day this was an absolutely great choice. We will be back!!More

Probably the best meal I’ve ever had! Excellent, welcoming service by an exceptional host. This is a tapas style restaurant and the host led us through the procedure. We actually probably over ordered but we’re thankful we had the opportunity to taste these fabulous dishes!...Olives, fish cakes and Arancini small plates and sea bream and pork belly large plates (with fries!). Every dish was outstanding!!! Will definitely be back.More

The place is located in a beautiful area and has amazing ambiance. Rachel was super, made us feel so welcome and was all round an amazing host. Would definitely recommend.

While visiting Leith, we decided to stop in Hemingway’s for drinks and fell in love with the decor and the atmosphere. We weren’t sure what to get and the bartender, Rachel, was phenomenal with drink suggestions based on what we liked. The drinks didn’t just...look beautiful, they tasted amazing! Highly recommend stopping in for cocktails—ask for Rachel!More

Last minute stop on a monday night with a very friendly, highly talented barman, had a whiskey sour and an old fashioned, both were fantastic! Highly recommend!

Booked for lunch at 2pm yesterday, quite disappointing to be offered only a small brunch menu or the "special" fish and chips which was half a haddock fillet and approx 6 large chips. Understand they have staff shortage and the service was good but we...won't be back. There are lots of better options for food nearby.More

+ charming decor + quite friendly service + most importantly sensational food - they should invest in a good dishwasher as all our glasses were dirty, someone else's lipstick on a glass is not cool

We were in Hemingways for brunch last weekend and it was amazing, place has a great atmosphere and all the staff were so friendly giving us great recommendations for drinks. We went in for brunch starting with pancakes and bacon which were delicious, with the...nicest strawberry daiquiris I’ve ever had. The cocktail menu is brilliant and every drink we tried was top notch, special shout-out to the cobalt blue which was spectacular! Espresso martinis were a nice pick me up and we got some small plate items off the menu, the gnocchi and pork cheek were absolute quality dishes. Thanks Rachel and Daniele for incredible cocktails! Day was made when a dog came by our booth to say hello! Highly recommend, definitely be back again!More
