This is one of my favourite Indian restaurant. The king prawn puri starter is definitely a bit hit with my taste buds. Loved it. Very friendly staff. Will be coming back soon!

Really its very good, the food is of a really high standard and well priced so you are not watching the budget. when we go back we wont bother with starters, maybe just stick with poppadums and pickles, and no sweets at the end either, the staff were really nice although the girls doing the drinks could cheer up a... We visited on a Thursday evening, and we were delighted with both the food and the service. We were served by an older gentleman who was the perfect balance of cheeky and knowing when to leave us be. I had the "Thali", a selection of 4 dishes chosen by the chef to avoid going for a bog standard Anglicised korma... More

First of all they give us a a table which was in a very uncomfortable corner of the restaurant. Then I asked the waitress to change the table. When I was ordering the food to the waitress, he was surprised and asked me "JUST THIS?!!!!". He asked this question two times!!! a very stupid question that made us uncomfortable. Finally... More

Visited here on a busy Thursday evening, the restaurant was very busy but I only had a 5 minute wait. The food was excellent, and the service very good indeed. An apology was given for the wait for coffee, it didn't seem too long a wait, but it was nice that it was acknowledged. My first time here, but definitely... More

We were in and out in an hour even with starters + main, having gone in at 8.30pm on a Saturday night! Would highly recommend the onion bhajis. Good friendly service and served drinks and starters very promptly, with only a short gap between starters and mains. Bill was given upon request very promptly. Good price for the standard of... Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
