This tricky to find basement bar is not signposted - Google maps has its location correct though, and then you just take the left door, not the right. We got lucky as some people left the bar as we were standing outside arguing about where...More

Break away over Christmas while our kitchen is being remodelled. Accidentally got lost and found ourselves at a dainty, quiet cocktail bar. Truly exceptional from the off. Reasonable prices first drink was an apple Jack Rabbit cocktail for £6.50! A good selection of scotch and...More

In the central Queen's street, this bar is located just under the street level. Unfortunately there isn't any sign out of the bar, our friends knew this place. Nice inside, there was the deejay, nice stay. Long list of cocktails, I got a couple of...More

Nice crowd, good vibes but nothing special about thus place. Makes cocktails (don't they all nowadays?) but I wasn't amazed. It is in a cellar under a drycleaner. Very very small low ceiling and thus crowded bar. For the tall guys and galls : watch...More

This basement bar has a great selection of interesting cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere (along with great tunes). The bartenders are also very welcoming and friendly. Definitely belongs in the top 5 cocktail bars in Edinburgh

If you can find it, tucked well off the street in a basement by a dry cleaner, Bramble is a delightful little cocktail bar. It is NOT a pub: it is a tiny bar that serves interesting cocktails. Don't plan to eat there, but you...More
