I met some friends at this charming restaurant with my husband and two small children. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I really appreciated the kids menu options which allowed the children to try some dishes they...had never had before and they loved it all. On a Thursday evening the restaurant was lively and busy and the atmosphere was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for well prepared food in a fun environment.More

Lovely restaurant - local to us but although we've had takeaway before, we've not actually been to the restaurant until this evening. Great welcome, ambience full of chat and good times! Food excellent - momos standout starters and my chicken dhansak main was delicious. The...service was friendly and informal, but still utterly professional! I can heartily recommend Gautams. You'll love it!More

Up there with the best curries in Edinburgh, coupled with excellent service, cannot recommend this place highly enough!!

Since our last visit there has been a major refurbishment which is a great improvement. The interior is lovely. As usual the welcome was sincere and the staff were bright, cheerful and knowledgeable. Now, the important bit ------ the food -------- yes, it too was...excellent. A lovely evening and highly recommended.More

Lovely atmosphere and every member of staff I interacted with was so lovely. Would come again, were so polite and place was very clean and tidy.

Very clean inside, friendly staff, food was really good, not too spicy, but aromatic. The only suggestion I’d have, but it’s more of a preference, the sauce/meat portion is slightly off. I want more curry.

Fantastic from start to finish! Food amazing and the cocktails were beautiful! Staff lovely and should be very proud. Thankyou for a lovely evening!

Third time here for dinner. We try Himalayan hot pot chicken and it's absolutely wonderful. Fish Pakora is good as always. Absolutely love the environment of the restaurant. Such a beautiful place for a date or family union.

I made a tripadvisor account just to review this place, i love, love and love it! Great staff, nice owners and GOOD reasonbly priced food and cocktails! I ate here Four times so far, 3 days in a row and i Will Eat here again...tomorrow! I Can ONLY recommend this place, they’ve Got something for everybody and bloody good cocktails too!More

Shocking, asked for chilli garlic chicken, sauce tasted like sweet & sour. No garlic taste, just awful & put in garbage!

Food was superb, the service excellent, not overbearing but there when you wanted something, quick in delivery and restaurant looks great after makeover

A must-try place for anyone who enjoys the Indian cuisine. We had a plate of Momo (Nepalese dumplings) and a few curry dishes, each dish was very flavourful. We showed up without reservation and they kindly squeezed us in. Staff were all friendly as well....If you are interested, make sure to reserve a table in advance!More

Had a fabulous first experience at this restaurant - fantastic food, decor, atmosphere and service. It might feel slightly out the of the way from the city centre but is actually pretty walkable just a bit past Abbeyhill. Especial thanks to a brilliant waiter on...our visit (Jamie? - also a blonde Timothee Chalamet lookalike:) - he provided beyond excellent service with efficiently & charisma really adding to our experience & dealing with a large multi-generational family group :)More

Very welcoming staff. Especially Grace and the owner and her husband. The food was really great. I made a note for myself, so I remember this restaurant the next time I am in Edinburgh.
