Nice atmosphere with nice staffs services. We order ship 's hot shellfish which inclusive of Scottish lobster, king scallop, crab claw, mussels and bowl of chips. Food portion was big enough up to 3-4 persons and all food are fresh, full of quality and quantity. We left many mussels because it was too big portion for 3 of us. I... More

We arrived tonight with an unexpected extra person and that was no problem. We were seated straight away. The ambience, the waiters, the setting, the seating etc...was perfect. We were a party of 3 and we all had the mussels for starters which were excellent!! We asked for extra bread but that only came once the starters were finished. OK,... More

Whilst working in west Lothian for a day, myself and a friend decided to head to leith for the evening as where our hotel was there wasn't many good places to eat. We checked out a couple of menus before deciding on The Ship, seated straight away which was good, even though it was really busy. The food was just... More

We really had a great time at this restaurant. The seafood was fresh and delicious. We had the whole lobster with garlic butter and their famous smoke platter. The food and wine were amazing. The service was excellent. We will definitely come back if we are in town. Reservation recommended!

Visited with my fiancé for our anniversary meal and were not disappointed. We have always wanted to visited as it always looks really welcoming whenever we walk past, so glad that we finally got to eat here. The restaurant is nice and friendly and not pretentious despite the quality of the food. The dinner menu has a wide and varied... More

This very fine restaurant was recommended to us by someone at another brilliant establishment (Noble's) nearby. Our server was excellent. His recommendations were as perfect as his descriptions of the dishes and their ingredients. The seafood was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect... a bit of old-world charm and romantic ambience. In our two weeks in Scotland, this was one... More

A lunchtime anniversary treat after a long morning of exploring the area. Warm welcoming atmosphere and really delicious food. The mussels were plump and juicy, the battered fish and chips wonderfully crisp and flavoursome. The provenance of all seafood is displayed on a board so you know where your catch has come from (it's all Scottish, of course). There were... More

This was the first time my partner and I visited this place as it was highly recommended by one of our friend and we weren't disappointed at all! We ordered the hot seafood platter and it was so good! All seafood were so fresh and the chips which came with it was delicious! The only disappointment was the cheesecake as... More

Ate there tonight - food wine and service excellent. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Had oysters and halibut with husband having calimari and scollops which was all lovely and a bottle of white Rioja for a change. Would go back anytime. Use
