This has been one of my favourite restaurants for a good number of years, visited again on Saturday the restaurant was extremely busy and was turning lots of passing custom away, having booked our table we were advised that we would have it for 2 hrs which is sufficient time, the food was good however I do have to comment... Tried to get a table the first night I was in town, and was told they were entirely booked. Tried again the second night… success! Yummy food, very popular.

Had a great meal here the other day with a bunch of female friends. The food was about the best Mexican I have eaten. Highly recommend the nachos (home baked I believe) - even better with some margarita. Very reasonable too and a lot of fun. We'll be back!

I booked here months in advance knowing how busy it gets especially at Festival time. Ive been before and it has always been exceptional including service. This time i was slightly let down. The nachos are to die for so you must have them, but the mains were a little.. bland. The beef fajitas come with good quality steak but... More

My friends and I went here a couple of nights ago, instantly you are made feel welcome by staff going out of their way to accommodate you (even when you have no booking on a Saturday night). The food arrived quickly even though the place was full and it was delicous. However make sure you leave room for a margarita... More

Enjoyed a really delicious meal of fajitas and salad with excellent wine (recommended). The service was quick and the staff helpful and charming, gave me some very useful information about the fringe and venues. The retaurant had a lovely warm atmosphere and I will certainly visit again. Excellent

I absolutely love Mexican food so was over the moon to discover Miro's Cantina in my home town. It's small yet cosy, and it's also always busy so best book your table in advance. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and helpful, but never intrusive. Then there's the food, which is simply delicious. We went... More

Dropped by as we were famished and it wasn't busy. Ordered shellfish tortilla and chicken tortilla and we didn't leave even a lettuce leaf! Really fresh and tasty. Finished with ice cream, cinnamon tortilla and a pot of chocolate sauce. Delicious! Feel good food! Bill came to £26:80, with drinks! 🤗

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
