Beautiful Food and drinks as expected, staff exceptional and very attentive. We were in Edinburgh for the last weekend of Christmas markets and enjoyed the beautiful decor of the Ivy also. Only criticism was that out table (for 2) was just inside the door with...More

Was disappointed in our early January visit to the Ivy for lunch. Service was very impersonal this time. There was absolutely no conversation from the new? waiting staff who seemed very dry. We started with the pate (delicious as usual) & asked for the prawn...More

The food and service was great here. Only small downside was that we were sat right near the window and the air con was just blowing on us all night. Big thanks to Dawid our waiter for his attentiveness.

We had booked a table for 4 at 6.45 on a Sunday so the restaurant wasn’t too busy thank goodness as our table was squashed between the waiters station and the next table. The food arrived and was ok, not as hot as we would...More

Excellent, food, wine selection and service. Only downside was the glasses used for the lovely Albariño white wine - more suitable for Coca Cola than white wine. Definitely needs a rethink. The 4 stars reflect this.

I love the ivy restaurants and this place was a good as all the others I’ve visited. Excellent veggie options too and the apple tart is definitely worth the 15 minute wait. Perfect service too

We had a fabulous meal once again at the Ivy. The lobster risotto was divine and across the table the smoked salmon went down well. My chicken Milanese was perfect as was the hamburger across from me. The service was very professional and friendly.

Whilst the service and ambience was a positive experience, the food did not match. Portions were extremely small and food was fairly simple. It seems the Ivy is failing to meet the high street luxury brand to which it has marketed itself. This is to...More

We always go out for New Year Eve Lunch rather than fighting the crowds on Princess St in Edinburgh in the evening. Once again The Ivy pushed out the boat with superb food and very attentive staff. We have tried other restaurants but the past...More

New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,
until after dark when strappy dresses come out to
play. This is the city’s central business district
with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many
of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest
clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street
helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned
Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric

The whole experience was excellent - you get what u pay for however having said that I felt the food was reasonably priced in comparison to other high ending dining places around the city .
