The waiter was very apologetic and professional about the wait due to high levels of people coming to collect deliveries (some of which kept getting mixed up). However, after waiting almost 30 minutes for one 20 inch pizza, we had to wait for over 30 minutes just for a wispa calzone apparently because of missing ingredients (?????). The pizza was a good size so I would say it is good value for money, but we felt bad for the waiters as there is obviously a lot of room for improvement in terms of management organisation.

I ordered 2 pizzas and a calzone through the app on a very busy Friday evening, when they arrived they were cold (still tasted brilliant though). I let the restaurant know and they promptly refunded me and offered my next order for free. When ordering this I accidentally ordered 20 inch pizzas instead of 14 and they still fulfilled the free order, no questions asked, even though it was a lot more than the one I had ordered originally. I did feel very guilty when these enormous pizzas arrived, I was eating pizza for every meal the following day.
Everyone I come into contact with when dealing with Civerinos has been an absolute pleasure to deal with.
The pizza here is 1000 times better than Papa Johns, Dominoes or Pizza Hut. If you can order for delivery then you would be insane not to support this small business over a chain.

Picked up pizza last night from slice, was so big we had leftovers for lunch. Super service, we have been very fortunate to have such a dedicated Pizza restaurant turn into a take away with staff we know by name now, and who are always helpful as we pick up every week. Thank you for persevering and keeping Pizzas coming through the toughest times. Pizza always puts a smile on our face.

Last week, my friends and I visited for the "All you can eat" evening deal. We were sat down for over an hour, and were only served two of the five slices we each ordered, while the kitchen was giving out countless pizzas for delivery.
The waitress only came over to our table when we caught her attention and did nothing when we told her that we had only received one slice of pizza in 45 minutes. At 10pm she walked past and dropped the receipt on our table.
As we were leaving, we were each given a random slice as well as a few slices of leftover cold pizza.
This was a very disappointing evening, having had heard great things about this place. If you're looking for a proper all you can eat experience, go to Pizza Hut.

Anton..... in all our time dealing with the COVID 19 situation have we ever been so disappointed with a customer review or ability to understand the situation or "read the room" so to speak.
We are as an industry try to survive but but weekly having our ability to do so taken away from us.
When you can in we HAD to close at 10pm by law to stop you and your friends spreading the virus. We didn’t want to but we were forced to.
.
Now to your dining experience - you got lots of slices, you got some to take away because we are forced to shut.. At what point do the government restrictions on our industry don't apply to you?
Now if we survive this..... if the waitress who had to get you out of the building at 10pm to avoid us getting a fine BUT STILL GAVE YOU FOOD TO GO...... if she still has her min wage job and we can still serve dine in pizza until 11pm then you have my word you can come in and fill your greedy, heartless little face all the pizza you can and take away all you like.
Have a think about how apathetic you come accross here on TripAdvisor and just how much of a douschebag you look for a £10 deal that has been an Edinburgh favourite since 2017.

Pizza was average, not traditional. You buy by the slice. One pizza was coated in a balsamic glaze which in our opinion would’ve been better offered on the side/table. The cheese was not traditional, Parmesan wouldn’t be on a traditional pizza, simply mozzarella is enough. Finally, prior to ordering I checked if the meatball dish was enough for a main & was told no- it turned out to be a large portion but the ‘foccacia’ (which was just plain pizza), turned up after I’d eaten the meatballs & I had to ask for it (the waitress didn’t even know it should have had focaccia with it!)

Ordered during lockdown for pick up which is appreciated in these times. However after paying £34.50 for two pizzas and a box of chips I was left really disappointed. The chips were soggy, and my pizza (the Hunter S) was really salty. The dough was quite limp and flat and I had to put mine in the oven to cook it a little bit more. My boyfriend is vegan, and to be honest is usually easily impressed with any attempt at a vegan takeaway, but he found his pizza (the plant based one) tasteless. I don’t understand how you can justify charging these prices for a terrible product- surely pizza is something that should always be done right!

Thank you for your custom,
As you mentioned we are in lockdown because of a global pandemic. That situation in itself brings with it a plethora of issues trying to get safely operational,let alone feeding NHS wards twice a day.
Testing times for us all and i sincerely apologize for your experience during these trying times.
However that is in no way an excuse for your experience and for that, again i apologize.
I would like to point out a few things...
1 - we are still cheaper than any of the chains operating right now,
2- had you turned up on time for your contactless collection the fries would have been fresh and not soggy, and your pizza not limp.
3-Your hunter S pizza should not have been salty, appologies.
3- and by far the most important one here.... if you were not happy why not just call us and let us know you were not happy, we would deliver fresh or issue a voucher or do something to fix the situation.
Instead we are here... on Tripadvisor, now, during a global pandemic.
We are more than happy to make this right. x

The pizza was excellent when it eventually arrived. The waitress serving me kept telling me "5 more minutes" every 5 minutes. I was waiting 40 minutes and eventually said to her how long I had been waiting and that I would appreciate it it she told me the truth in the first place about how long it was going to take. The waitress then blew up and was very rude to me. Afterwards I was talking to other customers who had similar experiences - this waitress seems to have some sort of superiority complex

Best pizza pie in town! Staff were great and adhered to current protocol. Got a delivery a couple of nights ago, it arrived right when it said it would and the pizza was delicious, we got a classic Civeirnos (can't resist that burrata) and a Purple hills. Will be recommending to everyone for their pizza needs for sure.

We were recommended this place by a worker in Berties Proper Fish & Chips and we were not dissapointed. The pizza’s were HUGE! My boyfriend and I were more than appreciative that they gave us takeaway boxes because there was no way we would finish the food otherwise. The vibe of the restaurant was pretty cool too, although we would have preferred to sit downstairs, nevermind. Great restaurant and good customer service :)

On a solo trip to Edinburgh, a friend who lives in the city recommended Civerino's Slice to meet up. The order I wanted wasn't available for another fifteen minutes so I alternated with something else on a whim - and it was AMAZING! I can't remember or find the name but the pizza had hummus on it and it was easily probably the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Staff were super friendly and funny too. Will definitely be making a return to CS when I go back to Edinburgh!

First time I’d ordered from Civerinos Slice, and it won’t be the last!
Pizza is definitely best when it’s hot out of the oven, and I was slightly sceptical about choosing a restaurant more than a 5 minute drive from home. But we’d heard good things about this place, so we thought we’d give it a go! We weren’t disappointed.
Pizzas arrived on time (15-20 mins ahead of the estimate we were given), they were hot (not literally oven hot, but definitely as hot as anyone else has ever delivered) - but the best bit....they were delicious, and a fabulous size. Thin and very Italian in the base, and then generously topped with sauce, cheese, toppings, more cheese....delicious, and, seriously, probably the best pizzas we’ve had in Edinburgh, having lived here forever! Certainly the best delivery pizza I have ever had in this city.
I ordered via the iPhone app. You can get to them through Deliveroo too I believe, but pizza isn’t best delivered by bike in a Scottish winter! Ours came by car - hot, early, delicious. Great job Slice team!

This was our first time trying civerinos and was very disappointed. Cheese all in the middle of the pizza and lacked toppings for a £13 pizza. There was also way too many chilli's on it which were very spicy. The pizza itself was very doughy and think it needed cooked a bit more.
Overall just not a great experience.

Found this place from Tik Tok and wanted to come here so bad! The reviews were amazing and the pizza itself did not let us down. It was sooo good, we got a pizza pie half and half, one side nduja sausage and the other with like alfredo chicken! The base and pizza is in an authentic thin Italian style which makes it even more tasty and doesn’t leave you with a sluggish feeling!
How anyone can leave a bad review for here is crazy, it is faultless staff were so lovely. I believe a girl called Imogen even gave us some free hot sauce to take which was so sweet!

Ordered Civerinos for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed at all. The pizzas were huge, fresh and tasty. The house sauce is something very special and the donuts were absolutely incredible! Everything arrive within 30ish minutes, still warm and delicious. Even the delivery driver was lovely and kind!
I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. Times are extremely tough for us all and I can imagine a small business such as Civerinos must feel the pressure but honestly, this place is worth every penny. We can’t wait for the day where we can visit this place for a sit in meal.

Ordered 2 pizzas and chips to be delivered on the recommendation of my daughter. We pre ordered it, they arrived at specified time, delivery lady was friendly and polite. The food was phenomenal, so much flavour in the pizzas and the chips were crispy! Highly recommend
