Visited for our anniversary. Treated to a scallop on the house! Really tasty food and attentive staff. Didn't go for the taster menu but would try next time.

Great service and fantastic food. A gem of a find in Edinburgh, small quaint and romantic space with wonderful uncomplicated French influenced food and a great wine list. Highly recommend!

Prompted by favourable reviews our large group heading there for dinner braving the thundery wet weather. We were consigned to a stuffy basement which gave the impression of having been recently converted from a kids bedroom which had hastily been repainted but the art work...More

What a great experience we had, we had a tasting menu and we were not disappointed. Each and every meal and accompanied wine were excellent, service was a 10/10, at about £100 per head, was worth every penny, we really really enjoyed ourselves and we...More

We had a wonderful service team who were always there so we didn't run of anything. Great wine pairing, the food needs a bit of fine tuning to be 5/5 - in each course there was element which was exceptionall, but some other element was...More

Laidback neighbourhood vibe, insanely tasty food. Service was on point too. So glad we walked out of another cramped, noisy establishment and stumbled upon Le Roi Fou.

Visited with friends for a Saturday night dinner. Wine was excellent (especially the Moroccan red). Food was good, especially the chocolate fondant dessert, although mine had collapsed so presentation wasn't perfect. Main of saffron pasta with tomato confit had more courgette than tomato in it,...More
