A beautiful venue and fantastic food and drink. Staff are always friendly and helpful ... great for a quiet lunch, a celebration with friends and family or just a drink.

Friends forced me to go for dinner (not a fun of the area during the festival) on arrival no one member of staff bothered to welcome us so we got to find our way to the bar to ask for a table, finally who seem Madonna in concert manager arrived with all her microphone and hear peace to see if... Afternoon tea with prosecco and cocktails – lovely spot. Fresh and delicious and loved the decor. Staff were a little slow at serving, but we were relaxed and in no hurry...

Came here with family and glad we did. The bar area is small but the cocktails were fab! Price wasn't too bad either and it was a nice to sit in a lovely bar area to have girlie cocktails.

Professional and friendly front of house staff who provided a warm welcome. Waiting staff were professional however on this occasions the service was slow...... which prevented us from having dessert. The food was good although we found the menu limited. Reasonably priced for main course.

Four of us enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of Tigerlily for a long lunch and relaxing conversation. The staff were all very welcoming, relaxed and efficient. Only criticism was several missing items from the menu - however there was still good choice of food and drinks. One of the drinks required coconut water which was not available - disappointing since it... More

This restaurant was recommended to me by colleagues, and I was glad I went. The food is very good, there was a good atmosphere and the staff were friendly. I didn't book, but think it is probably advisable to do so,

I attended a hen party meal and a drinks with friends nights here and both times I had a lovely experience. The food was lovely and the cocktails are pretylty good too. A great atmosphere and it has a real classy feel to it. Great for a special meal or occasion.

It's not often I would rate somewhere as terrible, but this place has completely lost sight of the first rules of running a restaurant. Good food and good service. Both were missing. It's trying to be too pretentious for its own good. Then doesn't deliver what it tries to proclaim. Starts with a guest list on the door before you... More

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
