Welcoming and friendly staff, Amazing bacon and cheese burger with a wide variety and mixes of cheese, skinny fries were a lot skinnier than I expected but they were great, the chicken skewers to start were very good. Selection of dips available, all very good and all fresh which is a nice change Left very full and very happy with... More

I have always enjoyed burgers from GBK in the past but this branch is certainly not living up to the gourmet standard this chain sets itself. We were told that we had to have our burgers well done but they were devoid of any moistness. They were burnt on the outside and tasted leathery. The chunky chips were a normal... More

the burgers are ok but not great. we also ordered chunky skin on fries but that's not what we got. instead we got cheap chips which were full of oil and inedible. the staff didn't even tell us theres sauces available at a table in the middle of the restaurant. I only saw them when I was going to the... More

My boyfriend and I came here for tea one night after a day of sightseeing and the food was delicious! The staff were all friendly and attentive and I thought it good value for money. This restaurant isn't table service which I feel all restaurants should be and for that reason I'm not giving five stars. However the food was... More

The burgers were awesome. I had the Bruce Leek - it's got cajun sauce, bacon and jalapeños! The burgers are made from scratch, and the staff are nice and friendly.

As usual, GBK is perfect for an easy dinner. Chips, burgers, starters and drinks all perfect as usual. Really nice atmosphere and setting with high ceilings and fireplaces. Staff friendly and helpful.

I must admit I do like GBK burgers. I find a lot of burger places burgers to be stodgy and hard to eat and this isn't the case here. My son loves it too so it gets the thumbs up from me. Nice to see it has had a face lift since my last visit which it def needed.

Enjoyed another visit to the GBK with friends for a burger and a few drinks before admiring the street light show

Just had my first experience of a GBK burger. Best burger I have had in a long time! Quick efficient service, friendly staff and very good value for money. I'll definitely be back!

We ate here while in Scotland, waiting for the Street of Lights to start. It was a great surprise, loved the atmosphere the staff were friendly and the food was great! They also have a nice selection of beverages... I had the Fresh & Fizzy Strawberry & Elderflower with a shot of Vodka... it was delicious!

Thank Lisa B

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
