We booked for 5.45,went and table not ready, came back to dine meal vg but very over priced £20 for pelic special, you can buy 4x chickens for that price ,don't mind paying good price, but not ripped off, perth Rd needs Turkish completion. You come out your clothes...smell of the kitchen as it's a small place. Its a pity because food is good.More

My wife and I returned for the first time in a while, we live in St. Andrews, we were not disappointed. The food was superb and plentiful, how they can offer, a very good wine for £14.50 is beyond me. The coffee was weapons grade...as usual. The only downside is it is cash only, if you remember this no problem, there is a near by cash point. The best Turkish restaurant North of the Bosporus.More

Visited with two friends, booked for 6.30 sitting, friendly welcome from staff, restaurant was full, its a small place but a great atmosphere, pictures on wall painted by the owner. his son now in the kitchen. We ordered three starter dishes to share with pitta...bread, all freshly prepared, then three main dishes that we shared , and a bottle of wine, all dishes were very tasty and well presented, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Highly recommend a visit here :)More

This is our 7th trip to Scotland, second time in Dundee. We are on day 7 of this trip and we were looking for a different meal experience tonight. What a treat. It was a small restaurant but was a colorful and delicious experience. I...have never gone to a Turkish restaurant before so I didn’t know what to expect. If you like lamb this is the place to go. They offer other meats but I was interested in all the lamb choices and didn’t really look at anything else. The portions were large so go hungry. Well worth trying. I wish I took a picture because our food looked just as good as it tasted. Our server was helpful in suggesting her favorites when we could not decide. I will definitely go back one day …More

We have been a few times, food is fantastic, great service and decor is out of this world! Small criticism that room is always a bit cold and please start doing Turkish tea!

I have been calling to try and book a table here for 2 weeks. I had friends visiting and have friends coming and really wanted to take them here. They either don't answer the phone or take it off the hook. Poor poor service

Visited here first time on Mother's Day and what have i been missing? Friendly staff and such terrific freshly cooked food. Place is quite small so i would advise you to book ahead, failing that they do a takeaway service too. Not much of drinks...option, but as it is a Turkish Restaurant we went for the Efes, could have done with the bigger bottle though. Wine on offer and quite reasonably priced for, sell soft drinks too. Recommended by friends what to have, which glad of as too much choice. Went for ISKENDER – mixture of Pilic, Sis Kofte and Doner kebab covered with garlic yoghurt, chilli sauce and melted butter & hubby had PILIC SPECIAL – chicken chunks in garlic yoghurt, chilli sauce and melted butter on pitta bread squares. Was quite a lot to eat and managed to take away what was not eaten. Only issue was ventilation, came out smelling of cooked food like i had worked in Joes café for a week! Would definitely go back. Have attached some photos, but might have mixed up names of the food, but still delicious, give it a try you will not be disappointed!More

Atmosphere: Arriving at this amazing looking restaurant is a great way to start the evening, with all of it being handpainted by an artist which creates a wonderful atmosphere and gives you a great vibe. It's a small restaurant, but I think that works well,...you feel as if you're in a friends kitchen who's cooking for you. Overall a great atmosphere, and probably one of the best in Dundee in terms of look and aura. Service: Service at the restaurant was perfectly fine and as you'd expect, nothing much to talk about unless it's either extremely poor service or completely amazing. Food: I came expecting some amazing meat, and chose the doner & kofte mix, which comes on a bed of rice and a side salad. The doner was quite average, nothing that would excite the tastebuds too much, but not at all bad, just not as good as you might expect it to be, and this also goes for the kofte. The rice - and I'm no expert on Turkish style rice, was also fairly bland, and a little bit too soggy, nothing too bad, but you could tell it wasn't cooked to perfection. I also added both a yoghurt sauce and a chilli sauce, as it would be wrong not to, both were great sauces and accompaniments for the meat. Drinks: I ordered a beer, and Turkish coffee, both were perfectly fine, again nothing to write home about, but I'm glad I got them as it's a Turkish beer I've never had and my first time tasting Turkish coffee, and if I were to go back, I'd likely order that again. Value: It was £16.50 for the D&K and an additional £1 & £1.50 for the sauces, which I think is a little overpriced, and for that price, I was expecting a little bit more taste. The coffee was £1.60 and the beer £3.60 (not 100% sure, but it was within 10p or so). Overall, the value isn't bad, maybe just a tad more than what I feel taste-wise I can get for the same price somewhere else, but I'd reckon others would be perfectly happy with the price, and that's not to say I'm not, again, I just think It's a tad too much. Overall: Definitely worth a shot and perfect for dates, anniversaries etc. The restaurant is a beauty to behold, and a nice little change from the typical menu items.More

Just back from this restaurant with a carry out ordered by phone, when collecting would not accept my card told it is cash only . Pity I was not told this when ordering so if anyone is paying by card try and google where the...ATM is in the area or if the staff informed there customers this could be avoided.More

Went here for the first time on the recommendation of my son. When booking the evening we were told there was only a 90 min time slot for our reservation as they were busy. Although the restaurant is very small (compact and bijou!!) the food...here is to die for. The humus is fab, the kebabs of various types amazing and the salads fresh and crisp. Will definitely be back when all this madness is finished!!More
