Went for a quick tea here and was very happy with my visit. Service was lovely from everyone, the guy who took my order had great banter. Food was delicious, myself and partner ordered a sharing platter for us and it was a fair amount we got on the plate. The restaurant itself has a very chilled relaxed atmosphere, there... More

Went here with some work colleagues for lunch and drinks. Ordered the house burger which cost around 9 quid. Pretty standard price for a 'fancy' burger in Dundee but it was tasty and cooked really well. The place was pretty much empty when we were there so the staff were really quick and friendly, but I can't decide if this... More

We've not been to Braes for a while but it used to be really child friendly and good general pub food. Not such a great visit this time - bar staff seemed more concerned about pointing out that children weren't permitted after 6 (it was only just 5). No children's menu offered despite clearly having a child so I had... More

My wife and I were looking for somewhere to go for breakfast with our three month daughter in the west end of Dundee. We just wanted a good fry...nothing hipster. The Scottish breakfast at braes is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. A delicious feast at a very reasonable price...especially coupled with the filter coffee with free refills.... More

First of all I should say this review is based on going for food. When just coming for drinks I have not a single bad thing to say about this establishment. The food its self is merely adequate. Lastly enough but portions could be better and the price is certainly a bit steep. Service varies depending on how many staff... More

Waited at the bar for a couple of minutes as the only girl serving had her back to me and was on her phone. I ordered the mozzarella and mushroom roll, they didn't have the proper 'pretzel roll' on the menu so it came in a sub roll. The girl did tell me this when I ordered, but since it... More

Not a bad bar but the food isn't great. It's pretty bland pub food with standard buns and chips etc. It's not very expensive and service is good but if looking for food there are better bars to go to. Had to for sport and a studenty vibe to it.

This has to be worst experience every in a bar. At age 51 I do not expect to be banned from a bar. On a company night our with friends, 17 years with working with a group of friends we entered this bar. We got our drinks which was fine. I mistakely took my bottled beer and my friends pint... More

Very relaxed atmosphere here which I liked and ideal for large groups of people (mainly students!). Food is decently priced, good variety, not to mention the food itself is really nice! We were part of a large group and the fact you can go up to the bar to order made life so much easier, as well as the fact... More
