Popped in for an early tea on Saturday night, food was excellent as usual, good quality ingredients and reasonable prices however what made the night unforgettable was the gent 2 tables along from us, Tom Watson. 5 times open champion and golf legend fresh from competing at Carnoustie. There was a lot of sideways glances and looks of astonishment from... More

Great service. Huge portions, prices reasonable. Shame not got a children's menu though due to portion size. Lovely views from the pub.

A great place to enjoy traditional food while enjoying the views of the Tay Estuary. The restaurant upstairs is the best place to sit for the views. Its very popular for family meals, not so good for romantic dinners, just because the ambience is a little noisy and tables quite close.

We chose here as it allows you to bring in dogs to the pub. This is not a big pub and not many seats down stairs and dogs only allowed there. We got a table that seated all 5 of us and the 2 dogs. Staff really friendly and gave the dogs some water. The menu was nice with a... More

We haven't eaten here so couldn't comment but if you are looking for a nice cosy pub to sit in with a drink this is the place! Really nice atmosphere and great if you can get a seat by the window.

Recommended to us by friends, we were slightly disappointed when entering the Ship Inn, and then discovered the actual Restaurant was upstairs! The disappointment was then forgotten, as we were duly seated and treated to the superb view across the River Tay. Like a framed picture, the long narrow window, kept us returning to view it throughout the meal and... More

I went to The Ship a couple of days ago with my Wife and two friends. We had booked a table, which was just as well because the Restaurant was nearly full, and it was ready for us when we arrived a couple of minutes early. The service was good and our drinks order was taken straight away, followed by... More
