We were recommended this place whilst on holiday so went here for Sunday lunch - I don't normally enjoy roast dinners in restaurants as never found one I prefer to home - this restaurant changed that - the roast beef was the nicest I have ever had - both my husband and I loved the quality and the flavour. The... More

We booked into the restaurant for an evening meal whilst staying at a local B&B - very enjoyable experience. The scallops starter was beautifully cooked and we had a very nice bottle of Three Choirs wine. Would certainly return and be happy to recommend.

Really impressive - good local products cooked with care and originality. We were staying nearby and ate here every night. Friendly service and even when they're busy (eg Tuesdays when the Rotary Club use the dining room) they do their utmost to squeeze you in.

Really liking some of the new twists on the menu. Fresh langoustines were fantastic and loved the irony of serving monkfish in the style of scampi, those of a certain age will understand. Keep up the good work

recommended by our local B&B and it was really good food, great service, friendly staff & a nice atmosphere. We just had bar meals but the standard was very good. Very relaxed. You can't book for bar meals so unless you get there early some nights you may have to wait a little while. You can book in the restaurant

The last time I visited the Selkirk Arms was several years ago and it has changed management so I was interested to see how they are doing. I wasn't disappointed. The evening we were there (Thursday) they opened the bar for food early (5.30pm) and it was already nearly full with people waiting to order. They don't take reservations in... More

This restaurant was fantastic, it is situated in a pub so you can choose between the pub bistro and the restaurant. The service was great with staff who were attentive and really pleasant without interupting constantly. I had the soup which was perfect but other members of the group had scallops, the menus is so scrumptious it is difficult to choose.... More

Staying a couple of nights in the hotel ate in the restaurant on first night - wow. Starters were three huge scallops with sapphire and seafood, absolutely excellent, never seen such big scallops before. Mains of skate wing and cod with seafood risotto were both excellent. Service very good, wine reasonably priced. This restaurant and it's chefs easily rival more... More
