Historic pub down am allay. Easy to miss if your not looking out for it. If you are from out of town and don't want to chance your arm on ending up in "locals pub" then play safe and go here. Much nicer than the nearby hole in wall.

This was a hidden treasure in the town of Dumfries. Frequented by Robert Burns, it contains much memorabilia. Great food and unique setting! Don't miss it! Definitely worth stopping in!

We only had a beer at the Globe, but the staff was very friendly and showed us the Burns "snug bar."

A very warm and cheery welcome, the ale was most quaffable and the food, we had haggis, neaps and tatties (what else). I have visited a number of times and had other meals which are always quickly delivered, beautifully cooked and delicious to eat

Our first visit to the Globe Inn on new Years Eve and we were made to feel very welcome and Jane even gave us a tour of the various rooms occupied by Robert Burns. The hospitality of the Staff and indeed all the local Scottish people was fantastic.

A noisy night out on the 23rd december. Stopped in to this pub for a pint of Deuchars IPA. What an amazing pint of beer served in the snug bar. Will be back
