Do not be put off by the very reasonable prices, this place is extremely good value for money. The food is simple, however done very very well. Great pub and staff, but the food was the real star. £9.95 for a sea bass special that was one of the best cooked pieces of fish I've ever had. Beautiful! A lot... More

This is a traditional pub with outstanding food. The seafood was surprisingly very good. I didn't expect that in a pub. The menu is top notch. I loved this place!

Good food and beers/ciders for a good local atmosphere. Beer garden available when not raining. Prices OK.

A marvelous find off the tourist streets....plenty of locals and tourists mingling.....very family friendly. The £5 specials are amazing.....burger in brioche.....12 inch pizza....and macaroni cheese all big portions and we'll cooked.....washed down with Oban beer....well worth finding.

Went to the place at 5 pm to make a reservation. Were told this wasn't possible and that when showing up at 7:30 pm we'd have a table within 10 minutes. When arriving at 7:30 the waiting time turned out to be an hour and a half. And moreover, a table for four was reserved.. No explanation was given, we... More

More of a locals place which of course makes it better. The young fellow at the next table had the biggest burger I have ever seen in my life. It was popular aka busy; people must have known the food to be good. Too bad we didn't have an appetite at the time; just in for pints.

We dined here twice with our two kids 8 and 11. We had seafood which was really fresh and tasty. The kids got pizza which was freshly made. Service was very good. Ambiance was not trying to be hip and modern more relaxed. Liked the central bar in the middle.

Visit Monday 25th July - I made an arrangement with this place to reserve a table for a group of 9 people including 7 from the USA. The manager/owner, and all other bar staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. I pre ordered all meals from the menu the day before , arrived at 20.45 , and all... More

As the only Camra pub in Oban we had limited choice. Good real ale but noisy drunks at the bar. We left after one round before the disco made it louder still
