Passed this and live music sounded brilliant . It was just off Main Street and close to Blair Villa where we stayed .

We've been for luch a few times are were impressed by the food, and they always have great 'specials' - the prices are reasonable too. We went for dinner last night and I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. My husband had the seabass and scallops on vegetable and to motor risotto and it was delicious. The... More

Tried a few different types of Scottish whisky here. Most were reasonably priced. There wasn't much of an atmosphere in the place when I went, mostly young staff hanging around chatting with bad pop music in the background.

We were there at the end of lunch so the place had thinned out a bit. Great barkeep, Polish guy that you could tell was translating as you spoke, but he did really well. Wife had a great shepherds pie, friends both had Cullen skink, and I the grilled haddock with warm crust. All nicely done. The locals that were... More

We booked as a party of 9, but the staff were not fazed when we turned up with 10, quickly adding an extra table. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. There was an excellent menu with lots of choice and at very reasonable prices. We paid £146 for 10 people for the food, not including drinks, with everyone having... More

After a day aboard the ferries and bus traversing the waters and isles of Mull and Iona, we happened upon The Lorne Bar and were afforded a welcome, pleasant, and warm environment for our dinner. Friendly staff, uncrowded (at the time we were there), good food.

We have been in the Lorne on several occasions over a few years now and it just gets better each time. I had the haddock (landed on the pier - I asked) in beer batter with chips, it was absolutely delicious! The batter was crispy(no flabby batter here) as were the chips. The meals had by the others in the... More

We were staying at the Royal Hotel and found this gem of a pub a short walk from the hotel. There was a good selection of beers and spirits, the clientele was of a wide age range, the bar staff were attentive and queuing wasn't necessary, because they knew who was next in line to be served. We didn't eat... More
