We were residential guests at Craigard House and because of the atrocious weather outside decided to eat in-house on our first night. We ate in-house the next night by choice because we enjoyed the food so much. The menu offers a large and diverse choice of starters and mains with an emphasis on local and fresh ingredients. We had venison,... More

I was staying at the hotel so it was very convenient after a day of travelling to be able to get a table in the restaurant. There was quite a good choice of dishes on the menu, seafood choices looked excellent - however, I'd eaten my fill of fish during my holiday elsewhere, so I had the roast lamb, which... More

Imposing grand house hotel with stunning views on southfacing side of campbelltown bay. Beautiful pre-dinner walk along coast to McCringles point. Very lovely couple and delightful waitress served very good quality local produce. Langoustines and Halibut really delicious.

The menu is varied and well priced, we had a delicious three courses with wine, and as always, enjoyed the wonderful views while dining. The atmosphere was a little reserved, but all staff were polite and helpful. Always enjoy the fresh fish dishes!

The menu changes regularly, letting you take in different Scottish (or not Scottish!) dishes. The venison if on offer is sublime!

The food was all good, great selection of meals, great view over looking the Loch and very close to the ferry terminal. The dining room is still pretty grand with large fireplace, exposed woodwork and pictured wallpaper.

We had the good fortune to be taken to this Hotel by our friends who live in the area, and what a pleasure it was. Quirky and homely is the best description I can give. We were greeted warmly by the owners who showed us into a homely comfortable lounge where we were offered drinks and menus to peruse at... More

Have stayed in the Craigard a few times and usually book a meal in the Lochside. Always lovely choice of fresh seafood and local produce. We had Ifferdale lamb shanks. Delicious, plenty of flavour, and the veg was fresh & crisp. Can also recommend the breakfast, lovely choice with fruit salad, cereals, yogurts & juice. Fresh to order scottish breakfast.... More

These are the facts. I stopped by the hotel mid-afternoon and made a 7:45 reservation, arranged in person with the manager, who suggested that time as she had some earlier bookings. We arrived on time, were seated in the lounge, and quickly ordered our food and drinks. Not until 9 pm were we seated, and we were not served any... More
