Nipped in here for a couple of drinks before heading to a Chinese. After seeing the lovely looking plates of food being served we decided to stay and weren't disappointed. The food was fresh and well presented. Worth a visit.

My hubby and I were visiting Forfar for the weekend. After a wander around town on the Saturday we came across this place. It was about 1 o'clock so they were busy with lunches so we just managed to get a table. There was a good choice on the menu but we decided to have 2 courses for £7.45. I... More

Visited late for High Tea, lack of cutlery was the problem whether we could be served or not? Obviously been busy, as all but one table was were still set with dirty dishes, the floor also covered in food, would do well to have a vacuum cleaner at hand. Every dish came with chips, no potatoes at all! Dog resident... More

We went for some food around 2.30 pm. Nobody apart from staff looked under 60 but that suited us fine. Primarily it is a bar but I make no comment on that only as a place to eat. We sat in a quiet corner the table was clean enough and the cutlery though worn looking was clean but wrapped in... More

Tried to book a meal for my family on a busy Saturday evening, unfortunately my first 2 attempts at booking a meal based on Trip Adviser reviews failed due to being fully booked, local shop owners recommended The Queens Hotel, they were able to accommodate a group booking of 11 people comfortably & we're not disappointed, good honest pub grub,... Decided to have lunch at the Queens with my family. As we approached I could see a group of smokers standing outside which is the normal for the Queens. I was not sure about going in due to this. When we decided to give their Lunches ago we were showing to our table which was just in a bit and... More

I was in last night (04/08/2015) as part of a large group who phoned the hotel (Troopers) gave 30 minutes warning that we were coming for our tea! We were however welcomed and accommodated warmly. Food: I ordered a chicken burger and was disappointed that the chicken looked like it was from farm foods and not a cut of chicken... More
