Great Pub Food

Visited for the Sunday Carvery. Great choice of Roasts and their famous Steak Pie. Good selection of vegetables which were very fresh and nicely cooked. Good selection of desserts. Nice friendly and efficient staff. Seems to be very popular as was busy.

Visited here today for lunch. Drinks were flat and returned twice with no apology. Waitress looked as if she didn't want to be there. Had our meal and waited on the coffee to go with the seniors meal but gave up and left. Management get your act together and improve the service it's not good enough

Quite disappointing service ... Chef who needed to hear my order three times. Tucked away in a corner of the bar and waiting far too long for cakes... In the end we got up, paid and walked out! That being said, the food was good overall despite the tough beef.

I write as one who spent most of my business life travelling and dining throughout the U.K. and can honestly say, that this establishment is one of the best for good quality food at reasonable prices. My highlight - the traditional Scottish Steak Pie. The best I have every tasted. But then all the food served was excellent. My wife... More

Sunday Carvery - fantastic food, fantastic staff, lovely atmosphere . As much as you can eat including choice of roasts, steak pie - proper steak pie - pastry cooked on top of steak. Brilliant choice of deserts . YES we will be back again and again and again .

First visit to the Sunday carvery - will definately not be the last.Good selection of roasts and accompaniments for main course, constantly topped up, struggled to decide what to have from the great selection of sweets. Staff very friendly and helpful.
