It is surprising place. Looks like a shop with books and that creates special atmosphere. Very good coffee with delicious cake and you feel great. You can also order lunch here. Free wifi is available as well. Enjoy!

Books and beans has, until now, been my go-to café whenever I've wanted to meet up with friends for lunch. Unfortunately, due to rising costs it appears that the café has had to increase the menu prices and stop serving coleslaw and crips with their...More

I had 2 large pancakes topped with crispy bacon and thick maple syrup. My wife had warm pancakes with butter. Tea and a cappucino took the bill to around £11 from memory. Friendly service and good value.

No complaints about the food but if you're there for the books, it's a bit cramped and many shelves are behind tables and chairs (often occupied) and it's hard to see the titles or grab what you want off the shelves.
Went in for a quick lunch. The sandwiches were lovely. A tad expensive for a tin of juice but the food was great so no biggie. Great selection for vegetarians and my partner enjoyed his BLT! Lovely atmosphere and tasty food so will definitely go...More
