A friend treated me to lunch here last Thursday using an itison voucher, for which there was a specific, separate menu with 3 choices for each course. Having eaten here sporadically over the years (& never before with a voucher!) I was surprised to see...More

An altogether wonderful dining experience. This restaurant overlooks the beach and entrance to the harbour and gives diners a wonderful vista especially as the light fades. The food is excellent with wonderful flavours enhancing the freshest of seafood and there are always meat dishes on...More

Disabled mother, difficult stairs but staff were great, much appreciated. We had lunch menu, the days special starter, shellfish medely was truly lovely.smoked salmon beetroot was also standout. All food great, portions manageable and on this sunny day great views, even saw dolphins in bay.

Visited with friends to celebrate a birthday. The fish dishes we ordered were very nice but the portions a bit on the small side and as a result we felt overpriced. The vegetarian option that was on offer (chickpeas pancakes) was very disappointing and lacked...More

The service was very nice and the staff was very attentive. The food was also very good, good produce. However, the price was a little bit too high for what you get. The restaurant is not Michelin star hence they need to lower their prices....More

Booked a business lunch here based on the reviews and reports that it is in the top 10 list of best seafood restaurants in the UK. We were not disappointed. We had the table overlooking the harbour entrance, which really impressed my overseas customer. The...More

This was a belated birthday visit to my husband using an ITISON voucher. Our party enjoyed the food which was beautifully presented and served by the efficient, friendly staff. My criticism is that the helpings were extremely small, leaving lots of room for another meal...More

It's a tricky choice! With the harbor view, you are looking over the mouth of the harbor to Balnagask and beyond. You get a great view of anything moving in and out of the harbor and can see quite a bit out to sea. On the... More

Named after a local term for herring, Silver Darling makes the most of a superb spot at the entrance of Aberdeen harbour. Built on the flat roof of the old customs house, the conservatory style restaurant commands panoramic views of the Dee estuary one side, and the length of the beach and headland the other (summer sunsets are priceless). A classic French menu is a triumph of superbly presented dishes, singing with flavour. Three courses at dinner could start with oysters marinated with lime and Granny Smiths, followed by pan-fried Atlantic sea bream in red wine, and the dessert du jour.
