We visited along with my few friends but the waiter will never come. Finally got some mediocre food but again waiter went missing when we had to pay the bill. Even when we finally gave the card for the payment, he is not coming and picking it up. When asked why are you delaying in everything, he told they are... More

I had heard good things but never been to Rishis before as it looked a bit run down. It was spotless inside and we were surprised and unsure about some of the menu items. The staff were very quiet and shy and a little slow but they had quite a large crowd to attend to early on a Monday evening.... More

The restaurant was recommended by the desk at the Hilton hotel where we are staying. Otherwise we would probably not have walked inside. Do not let appearances fool you, walk in and see for yourselves. After a spicy tandoori sampler, the cooling deserts soothed both mind and mouth. We found the the prices to be fair and the service perfect.... More

A popular restaurant so we had to wait to be seated. Friendly staff and an interesting menu. Portions were enormous- the nan bread for example. But it's the taste that is important. The onion bhajis were unlike any others I have had - and not in a good way. The sauce with them was nice. The nan bread was huge... More

At least this visit we did get a meal! On a previous visit we were turned away by the immigration police! Still not sure what was going on but the restaurant was closed for the evening! However that was some time ago and we had high hopes given the reviews. They were apparently also very busy with a large party... More

Early evening dinner for 4. First visit. Ignore the rather tatty street front facade and clues to a previous life as a Chinese restaurant. Head right through to the relaxed restaurant at the back. Polite and efficient staff and a huge menu - including Dosas! The Dosa starter was exceptionally good - light, delicous and freshly made. Generous mains of... More

Visited here with work colleagues. At first glance, the menu seemed to have a few items on it which don't appear on the standard bill of fare in most British Indian restuarants. We entrusted the choice of dishes to our colleague who knows the restaurant, and shared a range of dishes. All were excellent and, unlike many restuarants where most... More

Asking a restaurant to serve a 2 course dinner for 32 people is usually a bit of a challenge - but Rishi's more than rose to this challenge. We had pre-ordered our main courses and the starters were their choice - but this did not affect the quality of the meal we enjoyed. We had a separate alcove of 3... More

We consider this restaurnat the best Indian in town and the only one that served dosa. It is so good we even order in when we are too lazy to visit in person.

I had heard lots of glowing reports about Rishis, but having been accustomed to Indian food down Sarf, I thought it wouldn't amount to much. WRONG. ( and I have been to other Aberdeen Indians, which were quite frankly really off the mark) Totally delisch and authentic - but the best was dosas. Oh my goodness. They were good, they... More
