The Coffee House may not be very originally named, but don't let that put you off. Situated on Gaelic Lane just off Belmont St, it's very tastefully decorated and the range of food available is lovely too. I came here for a job interview and my interviewer was singing its praises most highly. I arrived just before eleven and the... More

Arrived and was very busy, managed to get a seat outside on one of the rare warm days in the summer. Service at counter very friendly and efficient. Took a while for lunch to be delivered to our table, but as it's all made to order and it was busy, this was understandable. Beautiful soup and excellent sandwiches.

This was recommended to us by a lovely young lady at Cotswold Outdoor! The Thai sweet potatoe soup was delicious and fresh bread goat cheese/beet/chutney absolutely tasty!! Coming back for cake and coffee another time!!

This is one of my favourite coffee shops, tucked away just off of Union Street. I very much enjoyed my smoked salmon salad with a great loose leaf tea whilst hubby polished off his Brie sandwich. There is always a great buzz about the place.

Had a soup & sandwich lunch at this sociable eatery just off Union Street. Seating is either at large communal refectory tables or at smaller tables for two, with an outside pavement area for sunny days or hardy customers. Todays choice of soups was either lentil or broccoli & potato, both were very tasty, but could have done with being... More

Another Aberdeen cafe with more style over substance. It looks nice but the food is overpriced for the quality. Cakes are often dry and portions are mean. It's also another coffee shop that just can't do tea properly. Though I've been there a few times water is rarely boiling and the tea gets cold very quickly. The staff are very... More

I was greeted with a warm welcome and was surprised with the variety of soft drinks, smoothies, beers, wines and indeed coffee that there was. To add to that there was plenty of cakes and biscuits and treats to choose from. I went for the carrot cake and a slab of carrot cake I got! Excellent stuff! Lovely creamy topping... More

Going in this morning (Tuesday 9th August) twice, once by myself and once with friends and my baby in the pram, I was welcomed with a smile by the staff, who delivered my tasty cappuccino and a pain au chocolat in good time. Big thank you to Hemma, George, and Anna for their good service! :)

We are an independent lunchtime destination serving well priced freshly made soup and sandwiches from same day baked organic bread using local ingredients and quality ingredients where the filling is not local. Our soups are made on the premises same day as are all our cakes. Our coffee is roasted locally (one street away) and we don't use preservatives. We aim to provide quality and taste with a smile. Do come try us. We look forward to seeing you. The Coffee House Team.
