Food is delicious in my opinion. The staff are usually nice, however I did get 2 people that spoke to me like they had their back up against the wall. It was clear that the staff I spoke to on this occassion didn't care for...the business, their behaviour was apalling, I felt like they were acting like the moody children in high school that would deliberately act with a bad attitude to display to everyone that they mean business if you cross them like some kind of defence to intimidate people enough so no one bothers them, this is my impression from a phone call, all I've got to work with is their tone of voice and how they're choosing to speak to me, it wasn't even a lack of respect, it was like intentional disrespect, so weird to get 2 of the same kind of people being the face of the business behave in such a way, embarrassing. You would of thought I was asking them to do something they despise. It was really disappointing, especially when I only hear good things about the owners of this place. Most of the time though the staff are brilliant and the food is delicious. However my last experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. Would be 4 stars if this never happened, but things can improve so heres hoping. Value wise not the worst - bit pricey, but good food so I can look past it. In regards to the side portions, instead of getting an even number per item you get an odd one, no good when you're a couple. This can't be the first time this has been mentioned. Sometimes, (and i mean sometimes) the sides can be a bit burnt, doesn't bother me too much but for the price this shouldn't be the case.More

I made an order for delivery, the man talking on the phone rushed the phone call I wasn’t finished saying my order and he interrupted me telling me how much it was and how long it would be, twice I got interrupted when I wasn’t...finished. I asked for an extra samosa and onion bhaji in the portions, the man said ok but I feel like he wasn’t listening to me. He didn’t ask how i wanted to pay, it was very rushed. We are currently self isolating so I rang them back to pay by card and to go over the order and a girl picked up, her customer service wasn’t great at all she was very blunt. I asked her to repeat the order and she didn’t say about the extra samosa and onion bhaji so I asked her and she said hold on a minute, I could hear her saying in the background “I told her that”. She came back on the phone and said naw we don’t do that, I told her that the man I was chatting to 2 minutes before just told me that I could and I have ordered it like that before and paid extra and she said “well I don’t know who you were chatting to.” Shocked at how hostile she came across I didn’t know what to say and was really disappointed. I don’t care about the extra samosa and onion bhaji it was the awful customer service.More

Our starters of onion bhjai was a bit spicy & the samosa was a bit bland. Mains of a chicken & a lamb biryani were delicious & packed with meat, both ample portions. Reasonably priced. Covid-19 restrictions applied ie hand sanitizers, table service only, visors...worn by staff.More

We had a good meal here and were seated upstairs. The photos on the website perhaps create the impression of a more sophisticated interior (it's a nice spot, but not as cool as the photos might make you think), but it was good value, tasty...food, with decent, if not very warm or friendly, service.More

Lovely building, nice staff....I ordered a Lamb Dopiaza, my friend a Tandoori dish...My own was dissapointing, luke warm...Very small and nothing to write home about except the bill which was overpriced in my opinion - Nobody minds paying for something good but this was mediocre...at best - And not a Dopiaza as I would expect it. Two mains, two drinks and two coffees...£46.20 - Luke warm, small portions that were nothing short of poor was really just dissapointing, we live and learn.More

I went to this restaurant last evening. My partner had read many reviews beforehand, some bad and obviously some good but we decided to give it a go anyway. Not the best meal, we were given poppadoms to start which we didn't ask for (but...not complaining), with some sauces in very tiny pots on a plate which was too small to hold them. We then had onion bhajis to share which tasted like they could have been cooked for longer, a bit soggy. Then came the curry's, they were OK, but they tasted very similar and kind of like from a jar?! My partner hated his. Also served in a cereal/soup bowl, limited veg in them too. The bowls were very hot as if they had been microwaved. When we had finished we told the waitress who collected our plates and big leftovers our opinion and I think we got the bhajis for free. Wouldn't go back, however staff very pleasant, apart from seeing the waitress laughing to other staff about our comments regarding the meal on her way back to the kitchen, which I thought was rude. At the end of the day we are customers, well not anymore.More

We went to Saffron the first week that lockdown eased and restaurants were allowed to open. Saffron had hand sanitizer at the entrance. The tables were safely distanced with no fear of encroachment. We felt really safe. The manager was friendly and welcoming. The staff...were excellent. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. I will definitely be backMore

Order a takeaway here occasionally and recently wanted to try something different on the menu, while I was ordering, another phone was ringing in the background, and I could tell the woman was flustered that I just didn't just want to order A B &...C and hang up. I asked a couple of different questions about things I hadn't tried and was thinking of ordering, Still the other phone continued to ring loudly in the background after what was no more than 2 minute she said "Could you hurry up please we are busy". Not exactly what I would call front of house staff etiquette. If that is the stress levels this place can handle, answering one phone while another is ringing means you are abrupt to your paying customers you, I think the paying customers will become EX customers, this one certainly has. There is more than one Indian restaurant and I like my food with a side order of rice or naan not a side order of attitude . Bye.More
