They do anglo chinese food like your curry or sweet and sour, lot of banquet offers worth getting if you re in a group. But the main thing is is that the owner is an Elvis impersonator and does a couple of numbers every half hour and announces people's birthdays and that. But be warned he cant sing!!

Ate here on a Friday evening. Staff friendly and attentive. Brought to our table after a short wait, and didn't have to wait too long before our food came. Food was hot and fresh and enjoyable. Only down side was the constant announcements for someones birthday or exam results etc. These were nothing compared to what appeared next - an... More

Sometimes they put unexpected gravy in takeaway meals.. seriously, gravy? It ruins a taste. Other than that, the food is nice and takeaway is quick on certain days.

We visited this restaurant on a busy Friday night and wanted to give it a chance as we had never eaten there before despite living in the city for 18 months now and it always seemed busy since it had reopened after a serious fire last year. Staff were very friendly and helpful and when we explained that we were... More

Chinese food is essentially the same wherever you go, with some marked variations on a theme. Mandarin Palace seems to do presentation of the food quite well. Unfortunately, I felt it let itself down on its quality of ingredients, an overuse of sauce to bulk out its meals, a truly poor taste in internal design and decoration, and an inappropriate... More

We were taken to this restaurant by family who recommended it as the best Chinese restaurant. They were right! The food was superb and the service so speedy. The staff were attentive, friendly and personable. The ambiance was wonderful. Inside the decor was beautiful and luxurious. It might be prudent to book in advance as the restaurant seemed very busy... More

Stopped in on a busy Friday evening without a reservation to try and get a table. The restaurant was very busy so we weren't very hopeful. We were greeted by a young gent called Dee who I am assuming was the manager and advised that there could be a 20 minute wait for a table. He took us to our... More

We booked a table a week in advance for my daughters birthday and after waiting for an hour and 20 minutes for a table without being checked on by the staff even once we left. We were asked why we were leaving and when I explained why the response was simply "whatever". Awful service
