My husband and I travelled by train from Antrim to Derry on a very cold evening to make our first visit to Browns. We enjoyed a six course tasting menu with wine. We could not fault any part of it, it was superb in every way. Each part of every course was delicious and the service was excellent - not... More

Absolutely loved the meal we had here, there was 3 of us and we couldn't fault the food or the service in any way what so ever .The only negative comment I would make is that the decor and ambiance is a bit cold, but that is a personal choice I know .

We revisited Brown's for Sunday lunch and again we were very impressed, friendly staff and lovely food, hard to beat. We both had the Greencastle scallops, followed by the beef, delicious. Amuse bouche was a small cup of Asparagus soup with a bacon dust, very good. Lovely bread and olive oil. It is great to have such a hi class... More

We were only in Derry for a day and a night, but had been told by friends that dining at Browns was not to be missed. They were right. Good service, excellent food. We were there with a well-known local resident which made it a very sociable evening in addition to the superb dinner (I had the lamb) and therefore... More

We booked a table for 8 Saturday Night, my first time there. From the moment we walked in I knew it was special. The attention from all levels of staff was exceptional, and that was before we had eaten! The menu was impressive, great choices. Canapes arrived, before our starters, a taste of what was to come. Wow! We all varied... More

This is probably Derry's best restaurant. The ever changing menu showcases the best of local ingredients with a twist, cooked with imagination and to perfection. The lunch and early bird menus are fantastic value as well. They also have a great wine list difficult to find anywhere else in the town.

Great meal with family last night. Superb quality food, the staff and Chris provided a great service. The menu was varied to suit everyone and our individual dishes were beautifully presented and the different wines complimented each course. Irish coffee could have had a little sugar added. We will definitely be back. A friend said he enjoyed the restaurant and... More

I think this restaurant is over rated, food is just ok nothing special, there are a lot of nicer places to eat in Derry. I think people like to be seen here for some reason but it is beyond me. Food is nothing to write home about and the servers are stuck up. would not recommend it at all. I... More
