Good choice of food and this place is usually busy so car parking can sometimes be a problem. The desserts are huge but lovely. No table service so you will have to queue to order your food but they may bring it down for you if there is a wait.

Right next door to a Chinese take-a-way. Poppy Smiths is a small Café and is a quiet place to have a meal. Almost everything is home made and is of a consistent High Quality. Some small cafes try to have you out of the door as soon as you've finished the meal. Poppy Smiths is Nothing Like your Typical Café... More

Called in for lunch and were greeted by friendly attentive staff. You make your selection from a buffet style selection in which there is a good variety of choices. Our lunch was very tasty with plenty on the plate. There was a selection of desserts. We opted for the cheesecake which was delicious. Great spot with an informal family atmosphere.

Had a fabulous family lunch. Food was great quality, good portion sizes and served really quickly. Reasonably priced too. Desserts are a must.

Had lunch here to-day and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The place is spacious and spotlessly clean. The lady who served us was both competent and polite, nothing was any trouble. The food was of good quality and beautifully presented. We will definitely return.

I have been in here a few times and to be fair the food is okay, the chicken curry is very nice and the wraps were good too but the staff are awful. The last two times I was in I came out so angry that I feel I need to rant. I have yet to see someone crack a... More

This cafe has potential if its staff were able to crack a smile! Lunches were lovely but the staff are extremely rude. We were made to feel very uncomfortable with no greeting or thank you and was grunted at when I asked what where the fillings of the sandwiches. Staff couldn't even lift their heads when serving food. Very very... More
