Holohan's is a family owned restaurant situated on University Road, just a stones throw from the Queens University. Holohan's Pantry is located in an old listed building oozing charm and ambience, a mixture of old style surroundings in a bright and welcoming setting. The Pantry offers a unique dining experience, based around great local produce and warm, genuine Irish hospitality. Using classic recipes, updated with modern cooking techniques and some of the best local ingredients, the chefs at Holohans produce food that is both nostalgic and contemporary. There is also a real focus on locally sourced craft beer, ale and cider, and a great selection of some unusual Irish whiskey's. As a family…

We have been regulars at the Pantry for several years and one is always greeted by either one of the Holohan family or front of house staff who have been with the restaurant for some years--that in itself demonstrates the friendly cordial approach-
The Pantry...commenced life as a "neighbour restaurant" but now seen by many as a destination in itself especially if one dines in the upstairs private Edwardian dining room that is available for groupsMore
First time to this restaurant - reviews have all been positive and I can now see why. It’s a small lunch menu but enough choice. Two of us had the prawns on skewers with a dill and lemon sauce and couscous whilst the other had...the selection of breads. Then I had the booth with smoked cod and salmon whilst the others had the fish and chips. I think we were all happy with the choices and found that we did not have room for dessert.
Waiter was very good. The place was pretty empty but as downstairs is quite small the atmosphere was unaffected by lack of many other diners.
I’d go back.More
Such a fabulous place is a fabulous location! From the minute we walked through the door we were greeted with a smiling friendly face and the service was quick, efficient and nothing was a bother! The food was absolutely gorgeous and so was the wine!...Will definitely be returning!More
We celebrated a family birthday here & everything was great from start to finish. Every course was delicious & the service was absolutely fantastic! Beautiful relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff! Definitely will be back!
Great atmosphere in this little restaurant and really lovely service to match the excellent food.
My husband didn’t like the sound of the mushroom soup so they checked with the chef who provided him with an alternative, which he loved.
I had a beautiful smoked...salmon starter served on potato bread with pea shoots and a poppy seed crème fraiche, followed by a seafood Boxty served with the freshest, perfectly steamed green veg. My husband loved his chilli beef Boxty.
On the waiter’s recommendation I indulged in the chocolate tart served with hazelnut cream and passion fruit purée. Divine. Himself thoroughly enjoyed his sticky toffee pudding.
Thank you for a great night, Holohans - we’ll see you soon!More
