Eight of us arrived at Bert's bar on Friday night and we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had a marvelous time, really enjoyed the cocktails and the atmosphere. The band were superb, wish we'd gone earlier in the evening...Highly recommended!

So I had been in Bert's with a date for cocktails before, which was very costly, so when someone suggested Bert's for Sunday lunch, I thought It may prove to be a massive bill with not much to chew on. But I have to say the Mussels saved the day. £15 or so and it was simply the biggest pot... More

Staff were impeccably well mannered, and in most cases the other customers. Even if you're not an aficionado of jazz, this place does make a tourist or native very welcome. The staff working on Thursday 4th August. Top marks!

The place was perfect, lovely décor, live music was brilliant and most importantly the food was amazing. We went here on Monday 1st of August. We were greeted and seated by a lovely waiter. Then we got a new waiter, Conor I believe, well he was brilliant, so polite friendly, full of chat and was very knowledgeable on the menu... More

We went to Bert's with some Belfast friends at Saturday lunchtime after waiting for ages and not being served in the bar of our hotel a short walk away (NOT the Merchant hotel, by the way!) We were delighted both by the speed and attentiveness of the service (from my name-sake Robert) and because the pink Prosecco was £10 cheaper... More

at first glance it seems like a nice old pub, but it lacks the atmosphere of the many real local bars around about the area. Not much more than an impersonal hotel bar.

We decided to wander in here after dinner in the restaurant. Great ambiance and top class musicians.

Service really good, but food disappointing, low point being a completely anemic bouillabaisse, scored a 2/10, and arctic roll a 3/10. £10 a head added for the live jazz as well.

Very nice atmosphere. Unobtrusive, classic jazz until the live music started. Excellent service - perhaps asked too many times if everything was ok. Very nice ribeye steak. Excellent bar staff. Recommended.

We ate here on a BH sunday night and it was amazing. There was a set menu and a la carte and between us we ordered from both - and both were amazing. They also do a very good whiskey sour
