Myself and my partner went for dinner here on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy so we expected to be served quick. On arrival we were hurried to our table and asked did we want still or sparkling water not knowing you actually had to pay for it and not told either. We ordered our first drinks which came... More

The Malmaison is one of our favourite places to eat in Belfast and more people should know about how good it is. We started with a drink in the bar - a 'Metropolitan' for me and an old fashioned for him, both of which were great, before we went into the restaurant where we had made a reservation. We shared... My husband and I went to Malmaison for Sunday lunch with a Living Social voucher. Our lunch was great in every way - from starters to coffees. The starter table had an amazing array of fish, cold meats and salads, together with a selection of breads. The olive bread was excellent. We both had the very flavoursome roast beef for... More

I stayed at the hotel and had a late dinner at the Brasserie one quiet night in January. The staff was amazing and the food was fantastic - fresh and a great value!

Been a while from last visit but can't wait until Sunday lunch. The starter table is enough for me, could easily just eat of it and go home satisfied. Beautiful selection of fish, cold meats, salads, cheese, breads. To many to remember. Never have Sunday roast out as never really ticks all the boxes, however this roast was so scrummy.... More

This hotel always delivers on service and accommodation. The rooms are warm and comfy but as ever a little dark due to the renowned dark decor. It's a good location to town as well.

My mum had a voucher from great ticket for a 3 course meal each. Upon arrival the service was excellent. A Christmas party was in and they were....loud to say the least! However, it is Christmas and to be expected. After they left the atmosphere was very relaxing and we decided to stay on for another bottle of wine. The... More

Service was attentive and efficient. The restaurant was reasonably comfortable but the music was loud, intrusive, and I'd say inappropriate, though that is a matter of taste. The menu was interesting and I started with scallops. They came on actual shells which made eating them awkward. The artichoke puree added little and the mushroom was tasteless. My wife had the... Went as part of our company Christmas night out. Decor is lovely and I have been on two previous occasions where quality of the food was good for a Christmas dinner booking. Just to note we had pre ordered wine which interestingly came in Malmaison branded labeling. Disappointing experience last night. I am allergic to nuts and don't eat meat... More

Description
Set in an imposing historic building on Belfast’s central Victoria Street, Malmaison is an ultra contemporary, ultra chic, urban retreat. The team behind Malmaison know that hotels aren’t just a place for sleeping, which is why a lot of thought and bags of style have gone in to the resident Brasserie, a hot spot in its own right. With its modernist feel the dining room has hints of 30s deco in its attractive black and red interior. Curved booths and luxurious upholstery are joined by sleek wood and low lighting while service is friendly yet unobtrusive. Two menus – one the simple brasserie menu, the other home grown and local – celebrate the best of Ireland’s ingredients while offering food which appeals to all palates.
