I booked for a 40th Birthday Celebration, the food was amazing and I would highly recommend, everyone was still talking about their meal weeks later. The desserts were amazing and had real wow factor all the food was first class, it is one of those restaurants where you want to go back to try something else asap.

We ate here for a celebratory meal, having not visited for a year. We wondered why we'd waited so long. Everything about our meal was first class. The starters, particularly the soups, are stunning. Mains, both fish and meat, are imaginative and, as you'd hope, prepared from the very best ingredients. The veal is highly recommended. You can push the... More

I regularly dine out in the area and could kick myself for not trying this place out sooner. First visit. Definitely not my last. Warm, friendly welcoming service - with a very tasty appetiser/amuse bouche whilst reading the menu - a definite promise of the deliciousness within. Had some beautifully presented fish soup in its own mini casserole pot to... More

My girlfriend and I visited here on a whim on the last night of our holiday and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. The service was excellent and the staff were happy to talk to us about the preparation of the dishes, and the food was absolutely wonderful. We both had the veal roulade,... More

Wet windy Saturday so felt like something nice and different. Went to Swansea and called into the restaurant and were greeted by lovely staff . I had the lamb navarina and the wife had hake. The food was very tasty and portions very generous. Service was good and the desserts are to die for!!! Will definitely be visiting again.

My partner and I ate her for a special occasion. I started with the scallops and they were amazing. For main my partner had the fish dish, which for almost £20 didn't include a lot of fish. I had the leg of duck which was a good size, however it was incredibly salty! So salty that I couldn't eat it.... More

Had lunch here with customers and was really impressed. I had veal for the main which was fabulous in both flavour and presentation. I can't remember the name of the dessert I had but it was superb. This place is a short walk from the city centre so would be ideal as a pre-theatre dinner (and far better than the... More

Having eaten around the world in the best, and worst establishments I feel I can offer a holistic and unbiased opinion on the Pant Y Gwydr. It is by far.......the best food Wales has currently on offer. The amalgamation of 'traditional' french cooking by a traditional french chef with fresh Welsh local ingredients has created a wonderful evolution of taste... More
