Date night at the bell was brilliant, great service and atmosphere. Food was spectacular and although the price was too of our budget it was worth every penny. For special occasions I look forward to going back.

Greated when we walked in. Staff extremely knowledge on cider and both interested and keen to give their recommendations, so if you are a cider lover then please just ask them as they are spot on with recommendations. Also watched them take time to get larger shandys right etc. Food was stunning, ample portions and very reasonable. First time visit,... More

Very nice little Pub renowned for cider. We visited on a Sunday evening, there was live music and an outdoor BBQ with a nice atmosphere, decent beer including real ale. A absolute must if you're into your cider.

Visited here lunchtime following my graduation and was really disappointed. Starters were cold, sent them back and they were still cold the second time. Three of us had fish which was pretty average. The omelette normally a simple dish was dry and continued no cheese. Chips were fried old potatoes and very greasy. The club sandwich was covered in salsa... More

We came here a few weeks ago, my partner and I are both food lovers and try a new restaurant every week. We had never been here before and found it from our food around Monmouthshire book in which it was highly recommended. We were greeted by a lovely waitress - she was very attentive and cared for our every... More

i had never been here before and it was my turn to book somewhere. I googled best places for Sunday lunch in Newport and the Bell was top of the list. Four of us went and it was perfect. We all had something different and everyone thought their meal was the best. I had chicken and it was beautiful and... More

Friendly welcome, happy staff, attentive service, lovingly prepared food and well kept ales. What more can I say about this great pub. We stay at Celtic Manor every year but always eat at the Bell Inn who are streets ahead when it comes to food and service. The landlord/lady should be very proud of the team there. Well done.

Having read the reviews we called in on the off chance on Sunday at two thirtyish. Live music was being played in the bar and we were informed as we were a party of five that we might have to wait as it was busy. Within twenty minutes we were shown to a table. What a treat we were in... More
