I reviewed this outlet a couple of years ago and gave it a positive write up. On a Sunday early evening (About 5.30pm) on another Cardiff visit I decided to give it another go. Yes I hadn't booked, but the place was half empty. No...More

Turned up at 9:20 on a Friday evening. The restaurant did not seem at all busy. We were turned away on the grounds it was reservations only. I suspect the duty waitress could not be bothered to serve us.

We went to Zizzis for pizza during the snowy weather. The pizzas were excellent but because the restaurant was empty apart from us there wasn't much of an atmosphere. It's a huge restaurant decorated in an industrial style, which doesn't make for much of a...More

Arrived around 5pm no reservation and only a couple of tables were filled, the server was upfront and advised service may be slow as there were only 2 servers working. Service ended up being brilliant!! The lady was friendly and attentive big thumbs up 2...More

Overall a nice place to eat, it is a large spacious restaurant, with a nice feel and atmosphere. The service we received was very good and at a good speed. We got seats by the front windows, which I would recommend as we had a...More

First visit to Zizzi’s and it will be my last, it’s no wonder high street restaurants are going bust. Firstly, can anyone tell me what the difference is between non-gluten and no gluten? Baffled us as well. Also, they cook GF pizzas in the same...More

I have nothing to complain about my first Zizzi experience, which happened to be in Cardiff Bay. The restaurant was not cold (or too hot for that matter considering the kitchen is open), and we had made a table reservation so had no issues being...More

Yes, no problem but they can restrict their use on "big event" days, our visit to the Opera at WMC was not a problem.

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Located right near the Millenium Centre and on Cardiff Bay itself our 2nd Cardiff restaurant is a great place to sit back and relax. Our designer, Tobias Hall, pulled inspiration from surrounding nature and has created a rather tranquil vibe in the restaurant. The blue and green colour theme represent the theme of the rivers Ely and Taff, and the green the valleys respectively. And the Wader Birds that are native to the area form the inspiration for the illustrations on the wall.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.
