This was a real treat. Excellent food and an opportunity at the same time to help the rehabilitation of prisoners in HMP Cardiff who were clearly making the most of their opportunity to upskill themselves in the catering and hospitality trade before being released at...the end of their sentence. Highly commended for both the ethos and the end product.More

Had a booking cancelled the day before the lockdown which is totally fair enough, however I paid a £60.00 booking fee for me, my boyfriend and my parents and have still not heard anything back from them in the form of rebooking (again fine due...to the circumstances) but a refund would be preferred. I've emailed multiple times and not heard anything back. Its been 6 months... £60.00 is a lot for a 24 year old, and I feel guilty for asking for my booking fee back, but I'm unable to rebook. Really disappointed and upset about this, I've been totally ignored and would not reccomend to anyone in the future.More

We wanted to try The Clink as it was mentioned as a unique place to eat. We decided to have afternoon tea. The portions were satisfying, but the service was outstanding. The waiters are very attentive and are more than happy to help you. We...had tea sandwiches, scones, and sweets. The highlight was the sweets. There was a custard-like cream on one of the tarts that I could have eaten all day. I'm glad we got experience and support the restaurant in their endeavors.More

Our visit was a Christmas present from my boyfriend and I wasn't disappointed at all - we had Sunday dinner. The setting was great, the food was extremely well cooked and excellent value for money considering the size of the portions. In my opinion, this...place is way better than some of the other highly rated restaurants in Cardiff, and has the added bonus of being a social enterprise. Whats not to love?!More

Really good food and we were served by Ian who was attentive and efficient. I had the duck starter followed by tortellini with radiccio, then a delicious chocolate mille feuille. My husband started with creamed spinach soup, then venison pie and orange and ginger sponge...pudding. Had wanted to visit for ages and was not disappointed! Hoping the current circumstances do not have a long lasting effect.More

I have wanted to visit The Clink for some time, but booking isn’t easy when they are usually so full - Always a good sign ! The visit today for Sunday lunch didn’t disappoint one bit. We all had 3 courses and the Mocktail of...the day. The soup and the crab starter was excellent, the chicken, fish and belly pork with a variety of vegetables was amazing and the cheeseboard was enough for 2. The portion sizes were generous and the vibe and service was perfect. Can see why this place has a great Trip Advisor following and will 100% be backMore

This was our second visit to The Clink and from the moment we arrived Glen looked after us. The food was exceptional. Good quality, good portion size and fine dining at its best. The idea of the restaurant is to help learn skills in the...hospitality sector and it never fails to deliver. The staff should be proud of what they have achieved.More

Excellent service and a beautiful atmosphere. I had the crab beignets to start which we’re very well seasoned; the shellfish bisque was full of flavour. My partner had the tea cured duck, which again was perfectly seasoned - however I think the dish would have...benefited fro it being hot rather than cold. The charred plus were inspired. The venison pie was peppery and savoury, a real hearty meal. I think the dish could have easily been half the size and I would have been more than satisfied. A very generous portion. My partners belly pork was the stand out, moist and succulent. Brilliant. The milles fuielles was slightly disappointing, the pastry was lacking that real buttery snap. A great experience and would definitely come back again.More
