Cant believe there are negative reviews on here! Live nearby and this is the best Indian food around, my favorite restaurant/takeaway in Cardiff. Really nice place too and staff are friendly. They have 8.95 offers too which include starter, main course, rice/naan etc

This is nouveaux Indian cooking aimed at pretentious Brits. beautiful restaurant but staff didn't really understand we wanted traditional food though. We had the special menu which was very good value for money. Is somewhere nice to get dressed up for but I wouldn't make it my local.

This was not a good meal. My girlfriend and I went to Haveli last night. The service was excellent but unfortunately the food did not match this. She ordered a chana masala to start and I ordered the Keema Aloo Somosa. These were both served on small plates and lacked serious imagination; both came with 1970s salads comprising of iceberg,... Having been told about Haveli only recently, we've been twice with 2 sets of friends on Sunday nights in the last few weeks, and everyone agreed it was fabulous - a real gourmet experience! The food was fresh, tasty and easily on a par with Mint & Mustard - the difference being, it's far better value for money! On both... More

Went on a Weds evening and were the only customers?? Don't know why as the food is great. The pickles were fresh as thick, not watered down. My only criticism is that one of the waiters needed a shower!!

We enjoyed our meal at Haveli on City Road. We went with a LivingSocial voucher, which included a starter, main and a glass of wine or a beer each, which was excellent value. With so much competition of good restaurants on City Road, I had previously overlooked Haveli. However, the food was excellent and prices very reasonable, so I would... More

Had a very nice meal here. Been here a few times now and will go again. The food is better than the average Indian restaurant.

Looks attractive from the outside and cosy on the inside. Staff were attentive and chatty. Gave good advice about food. Cuisine is from northern india, which is nice. Good flavours and well cooked food. Presentation let it down a bit. Salad garnish let the dish down though, was just lettuce and tomato.... Would definitely recommend it though and will return... Went for a meal with my girlfriend and we both loved it. Quality food at a reasonable price. They went thr extra mile by not putting in coriander. Would recommend this restaurant to anybody who enjoys well prepared and generous portions.

Ordering a simple takeaway the food was the worst I have ever tasted, inedible. There are much nicer Indians locally, my advice don't bother with this one!!
