Went today for lunch. We ordered the Thali which was delicious. Ordered our food then went for a brows around the shop. They sell good quality offering incense here and the rose one is one of my favourites. Our food didn't take that long to arrive and it was fresh, hot, lots of it and delicious. You even get a sweet... We called in here on our way from Cardiff Central Station to the SWALEC stadium (it's located just across the river from the Millennium Stadium). What a pleasure. Delicious very reasonably priced food, lovely friendly people. It's just a little family cafe attached to a shop with the focus on simple tasty vegetarian food. Definitely worth a return visit.

Food is good. Purely veg. Non greasy and simple. Try the thali. However the ambience and location is below average. Would suggest take away

Tasty food, lovely staff, chilled out atmosphere. Went here for lunch and didn't know what to buy, a dish was suggested to me and I really enjoyed it. Kitchen is open and clean. Clean toilets.

This is one of Cardiff's hidden gems. Very popular with locals, this vegetarian café and convenience store is well worth a visit. I was with friends during the last visit. They both chose dosa, which I'm told was delicious. I've only ever eaten a very large paper dosa, these were smaller, thicker and stuffed full with spiced potato. I had... More

Without question the best food in Cardiff. Freshly cooked and incredibly reasonably priced. It is a shame that I cannot eat here more frequently.

Friends who have travelled much more widely than I have in India rave about Mrs. Madhav's. See all the satisfied reviewers above too. The thali is a tray of about eight items plus poppadoms, a sweet, pickles, etc.. All this freshly cooked almost before your eyes and about £8.00 if you have chai and maybe a can of soft drink... Madhav isn't a fancy restaurant, It's not beautifully furnished and there's no ambient music... but that doesn't matter because the food does all of the talking. I had the thali, 2 curries, chapati's, rice and condiments. It was a huge portion of food and it was extremely cheap (around £6/7). I'm always slightly bias when reviewing a vegetarian restaurant because... More

A friend and I had lunch here yesterday........neither of us are vegetarian, but I wanted to introduce him to the authentic Indian cuisine on offer here! Great meal, superb flavour!! Rounded off with the Indian coffee......all in all, a superb lunch at a very reasonable price. Bought some spices to take home from it's onsite mini-market.
