Really nice small Italian with good food. Such a welcome from Selim the manager. Great Ragu. Would go back.

I’m still slightly smug about the fact that I went to ‘Casanova’ in the first weeks it opened. There was something about the no-fuss, high quality menu that was a big clue to the Montuori brothers’ love and respect for the food and wine of their homeland. I [and my family, colleagues, and strangers I meet on the London train]... More

This is the best Italian food I have eaten. Great service and given a small aperitif on the house on arrival. We dined off the fixed price lunch menu& all the choices were delicious . The place is packed which doesn't surprise me. . Book if you don't want to be turned away.

Ashamed to say I have never been for a meal here before even though it has been here for 11 years or so and I live in Cardiff. Will definitely return after this first visit. Had a lovely leisurely lunch with a friend on a rainy Monday. Complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival. Waiter was charming and friendly. The owner... More

My favourite restaurant in Cardiff. The food is outstanding, even with such a compact menu it was difficult to choose! The staff are excellent both for attentiveness and helpful recommendations. This place has bags of character and a lovely, romantic atmosphere. Plus the tiramisu was to die for! Thank you very much, I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Being a regular visitor to Italy I love Italian food but back home in Wales really find the authentic thing. Casanova is a wonderful exception. The food is beautiful, the staff wonderful and all in all I can thoroughly recommend this marvellous restaurant. Thank you Casanova!

This restaurant is tucked away in a poor street near the Principality Stadium under the shadows of an NCP Car Park. Despite the drawbacks of is situation this little restaurant provided both of us with a sensational meal. My partner is vegetarian and didn't fancy any of the main menu choices so the chef came and asked what she might... More

My wife and Invisitéd Cardiff for the first time. We went for lunch, and were greeted with a glass of proseco as we sat down. The food was good italian food. The service was very friendly, and the waiter recommended to take the Aquabus and we loved it.

I went for a date night with my partner. We were greeted with prosecco on arrival and shown to our table. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming! The food was beautiful! I had steak for main which was cooked to perfection. We really couldn't fault it. The atmosphere in the restaurant really made the evening.

We are fairly regular visitors to Cardiff but this was our first visit to Casanova and we were not disappointed. We have got rather fed up with the many chains that now seem to pervade our city centres and so it was great to experience some really good quality authentic Italian food. As many have said before on arrival you... More
