Lovely lunch with friends, two courses for £9.95 and drunks were reasonable too. Sunday lunch, not on a Sunday was lovely and the cauliflower cheese with my gammon was to die for, although a bit hot. Dessert was gorgeous and the staff were polite and courteous.

Celebrating 37 years of marriage and wanted to book somewhere we could guarantee good food and a welcoming atmosphere - not pub grub. The menu offers a range of starters, mains and desserts to suit all palates. You will not be disappointed. Sadly, as we don't drink and drive, we had to leave the wine for when we got home...... Meal was cooked to perfection- we had soup and filo prawns. I'm fussy about my prawns but sighed with bliss! Then when I ordered surf and turf imagine my delight when I was presented with the same filo prawns! Steak was medium rare ordered and medium rare presented. I totally enjoyed and so did my husband. And so to dessert.... More

Had a very decent lunch at the old cottage, also a nice range of vegetarian options. Staff were super friendly. The restaurant's interior is really cozy and I can only recommend this place to everybody who is keen to have some great English food for a reasonable price! PLUS I think their "Sticky Toffee Pudding" was by far the best... More

Great steamed salmon. Dad had the boiled pots and I had the veg. Both lovely. Raspberry creme bruise and white choc & marshmallow cheesecake fab too.

Ate on a Saturday and they had run out of steak at 7:30!!! Service, though the staff were pleasant, was very slow - there was a large party seated downstairs and maybe they were struggling to cope. Food was fine, but I'd think twice about visiting again

A well presented and perfectly cooked sunday lunch to celebrate Grannys birthday. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for their customers. Granny praised the food as, beautifully cooked, and praise from Granny is praise indeed. The choice of mains and desserts was ample and the price of the wines was acceptable. A very pleasant dining experience. We will... More
