We visited for dinner as a family and went back for Sunday lunch the next day as it was so good! The evening menu has a wide selection - from "crowd-pleasers" such as the filo prawns and fresh plaice to more varied dishes such as the amazing morrocan tagine that I had. Without exception, all of it tasted great and... More

We stumbled across this little gem whilst staying at a local hotel. It didn't disappoint, from the moment we arrived we were astounded by its character and quirkiness! We were waited on by a young man who addressed us properly and assured we were comfortable and happy. The Old Cottage is reasonably priced for the deliciously tasting very well presented... More

You can enter the restaurant from two different sides.... The river access brings you straight into the ground floor dining room...a lovely room with clean tables and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The long way round you will need to take for wheelchair access. Either way you are greeted with a warm welcome. The menu will cater for every taste and... More

Having just come home from holidays, my sister and I decided to have Sunday lunch before she returned home. Neither of us had eaten at the Old Cottage previously but I had heard my friends talking about it. I had beef and my sister had the lamb. The food was amazing and the best meal we had all week. Considering... More

Great place to eat. Quite a narrow alley to get there so unsure whether it would be suitable for disabled people. Food always very good.

Lovely lunch with friends, two courses for £9.95 and drunks were reasonable too. Sunday lunch, not on a Sunday was lovely and the cauliflower cheese with my gammon was to die for, although a bit hot. Dessert was gorgeous and the staff were polite and courteous.
