We went on a boat trip last Sunday from Brecon, moored at the local lock and walked up to Three Horseshoes. What a gem of a find as the lunch was absolutely delicious. Seven of us enjoyed roast lunches of beef, chicken and lamb followed by the most mouth watering raspberry tart and ice cream. The food was of the... More

Yes all the reviews extolling the merits of this village public house and restaurant are quite correct and well deserved. Its certainly pick and span, has a nice feel to it, a excellent menu choice and most of all friendly and helpful management and staff. The only downside would be the steps in the building and and the flat roof... More

My wife and I called in here today as we were in the area and saw it was 1st on Trip Advisor, so were encouraged by this. The food, welcome, service, beer and pub were all faultless. Great prices and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The burger is the best I've had! Well done!

I entered in trepidation ....having been a few years ago, well, what a transformation. The pub has been totally renovated , and looks fantastic- well done. The meal we had was lovely, well cooked, and a different menu from others we'd visited. I will say, it was a little more expensive than what we'd expect, but the food and ambiance... More

We have visited numerous times when we have stayed at the local Caravan Club site 10 mins walk away. We like sitting out the front of the pub enjoying a drink overlooking Pen Y Fan. It is also dog friendly which is an added bonus! It serves lovely food but book ahead as it can get very busy.

We visited on Jazz Saturday. First impressions were great; looks like they've had a refurb recently and it really suits the building! Live music was in the bar area and really complimented the atmosphere perfectly. We had 3 plates of nibbles between 2 of us, and they were amazing! Pork cracklings with chutney, white bait and then bread and olives.... More

We enjoyed a really fantastic meal here, there was a steak offer - £35 for 2 steaks & a bottle of red! The steak was the best I have eaten in ages, beautifully cooked!

We were staying close by at the Caravan Club Site and had The Three Horseshoe recommend it was just a short walk and a nice Surprise when we walked in as we didn't expect such a nice interior. We had to book a table which we had done the night before. We both had a starter and main course which... More

We live in Groesffordd and are pleased to be able to recommend our local as the best restaurant in the area. We have Pensioner's Lunch every Wednesday and the standard is just as high as the main menu. The choice of three mains and desserts are from the a la carte menu. The friendly chefs and staff are very efficient... More
