Found this restaurant on trip advisor when looking for a good spot to stop on our way back to South Wales after visiting the RWS. We parked in the south 3 car park on the A483 and took a lovely route back over the mountains through Upper Chapel on the back roads to the restaurant. We found the restaurant tucked... More

We booked here after been recommend by our B&B owners. Staff friendly food ok but £5.50 per dessert was overpriced. I had 5 peach balls 5 Raspberry and 2 small pieces of pastry a scoop of ice cream. As for my husbands Eton mess with a frozen piece of arctic roll! Had not thawed by the time we left. so... More

Booked an early evening weekday meal, expecting regular fayre from this unassuming little pub. A very nice surprise to find the service and food most excellent. Both Squid & black ink risotto, and Welsh Lamb delicious and well proportioned. Only negative is that it's not open all day!

We stayed at the caravan club site near by and walked to the The Three Horse Shoes for a meal, never expecting such a wonderfully cooked and tasty meal. The people in the pub were friendly and very helpful and welcoming and an added bonus we were allowed to take our dog into the bar area. They also have a... More

Sat in here surveying the empty plates and happy faces of the family. We were all a little boring and went with the Welsh lamb - it was absolutely cracking - perfectly cooked, nice balance of flavours, good amount of both types of the meat and most of all very, very tasty. Great team making the rest of the visit... More

My wife and I went to The Three Horseshoes Inn at the end of a busy and exhausting day, after caving and gorge walking so you imagine we were in dire need of some nice, home made meal and we weren't disappointed. After we sat at the table, we were greeted with one of the best home made breads I've... More

Visited the three horseshoes on Friday night whilst staying at brecon caravan club site, phone to book a table on Friday afternoon and spoke to a very friendly lady. The food was outstanding I had the burger (which was the best home made burger) and my husband had the sirlion steak. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The... More

Went to the three horseshoes on recommendation from a friend. Lovely pub, recently refurbished and with friendly, helpful staff. Food was generally good except my wife is vegetarian and there wasn't much choice for her. My food was generally very good although my main course was partly burnt. The waitress did offer to change it but I didn't want to... More
