Olif is a Welsh tapas bar with boutique rooms in Betws Y Coed, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. We serve a Welsh-themed tapas menu, delivering a fusion of Welsh and Spanish small plates which we’re sure everyone will love. Aside from our juicy Gordal olives from Seville, we try to source all of our produce locally. From our customer feedback, we know that our commitment to using locally produced food which is cooked fresh each day (the only thing you’ll find in our freezer is ice cream and ice cubes!) makes a big difference to the quality and taste of our food. And you can wash it all down with a great range of local ales and ciders, over 40 Welsh small-batch gins, a great selection…

All reviews tapas chorizo cod bites bread pork potatoes pudding anglesey eggs local produce fantastic food book in advance lovely evening staff were lovely friday night lovely atmosphere booked a table dishes
We spent 4 nights at Olif, Betws Y Coed is a great location and our accommodation certainly lived up to its reputation. Breakfast was excellent and we loved the pre Booking option each night for our breakfast, great choice of food.
We had two evening...meals Saturday and Sunday, they are not open Monday and Tuesday but that was fine, there were plenty of other places to eat , and we wouldn’t have had Tapas 4 nights consecutively.
Rooms are very comfortable, we stayed in room 5 Cariad , overall a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Olif, would definitely stay againMore
It couldn't have gotten any better. We ate at 1730.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The setting was lovely and we just felt at home. This usually doesn't happen to us, we often struggle to get staff to notice us when we eat...out. The service was fast and when our food came out we were in heaven. I actually loved every single thing about the food, I'm gutted it's a 5 hour drive to get there! The portions were perfect and the food was great quality. You definitely get more than your money's worth and you'll be thinking of the food for a while after.
This place has great food, great prices, a lovely setting and friendly, happy staff. I can't fault it. Definitely recommend a visit.More
We try to get this restaurant last night but the only time we could book was opening time today. No wonder. This place is booked up with very little openings as the food is so good that’s its popular. We were seated and order taken....We started with tostadas followed by a selection of six tapas between us. Service was excellent and staff very helpful at advising dishes. If you in the area do try it but book well in advance.More
Popular and busy; you can see why! We managed to get a table for 5:30 and only just (book early if you want to go). The place filled up quickly, the staff were awesome, service was excellent. Despite being really busy the food was well...presented and tasted absolutely fantastic. The portions are generous; we had two tapas each and that filled us up. Don’t miss this place, great value, excellent food and friendly service. We’ll be back.More
Welcoming staff and attractive venue.
The tapas was delicious - could have been improved with a few tweaks.
Everything was tasty, particularly artisan breads, olives, rapeseed oil and raspberry reduction
Anglesey eggs - something different and good. Would have preferred a baked runny egg rather...than sliced hard boiled though.
Slow cooked beef was a bit dry and chorizo in red wine overcooked.
Good beer choice.More

Thanks for your review - we’re glad you enjoyed your visit!
The Anglesey Eggs are as the name suggests, a traditional dish from Anglesey which date back to the 1500s and consist of layers of leek mash, sliced boiled eggs and a creamy cheese sauce....More
Great restaurant. Nice break from the pubs. Menu has enough for everyone’s taste. Clean and very friendly staff. We had a cheese, pepper appetizer followed by a shared slow cooked beef and meat ball main which were more than enough. All were excellent including our...wine choice. Reasonable price wise. Highly recommend this restaurant. Friendly staff.More
Fantastic. The food and staff were amazing with the waitress taking time to offer recommendations for the local area. Could not recommend more and fully understand why this is the top restaurant in the village.
Me and my partner came here for dinner after a day trip to Betws-y-Coed. To put it simply, it was absolutely amazing.
We had the pink sangria in a 1L jug. This was great and amazing value for money. We decided to have 6/7 dishes...between the 2 of us. As recommend by the waitress we had the bread and melted cheese for starters and everything else just followed as a main. Everything was to die for. There wasn’t one thing to fault. The taste of everything was amazing.
The atmosphere was great, little amount of tables so very intimate but that means getting the attention from your waitress’s. Great value for money would definitely recommend popping in here for a dinner whilst visiting. Definitely book in advance as they weren’t allowing any walk ins.More
Had a wonderful 2 night stay here for our anniversary and it was perfect in every way. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the river, which wasn’t the biggest but was really well laid out to make the most of the space....The bed was really comfy and the bathroom was great with a deep bath and powerful shower.
We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast option and every meal was lovely. Dinner both nights was filling, great choices with lots of vegan/veggie choices and the focus on local ingredients was amazing. The waitress was really welcoming and knowledgable, talking everyone through the menu if needed. The drinks menu was also extensive with great gins and local beers. One morning we had a breakfast bag to go as we were heading out v early, which could have had more bits in but did keep us full til lunch. The second morning we had a cooked breakfast which was gorgeous.
Overall a wonderful stay and we’ll definitely be back.More
