My wife and l live on Anglesey and have held the quality of the food at the ship quite highly, on this occasion very poor. I had ordered a Sirloin steak at £17.50. When it arrived it looked very poorly presented. The chips looked as though they had been sitting in the fryer for hours. Several were black in places.... More

It was a pleasure eating in the historical Ship Inn , Our meals were really tasty , especially the huge portion of Beef and ale cobbler , Food was reasonably priced in my opinion as was the beer , plenty of selection too , We also had veggie Lasagne , nice and the ham and cheese melt which slightly disappointed... We'd seen the Ship Inn advertised locally and had recommendations from a local but perhaps it was for a different Ship Inn on Anglesey. We arrived around 20:00 and ordered Cheesy Garlic Bread and Bread and Olives for starters along with various mains. The garlic bread was a couple of thinly sliced pieces of a wholegrain loaf with melted cheese... More

Very nice location but that's about all you can say, The food is ok but well over priced, The Bar area fails to function at busy times. there are better cheaper places inland

The food was poor, the chips were awful and the ham and cheese melts were poor. its a shame as its a lovely old pub and the staff were very friendly.

The pub is very pretty and popular. There is no real welcome, but everything is super efficient. Beers are good and outside seating is very good. Food in the form of sandwiches was sadly disappointing. The bill was very expensive. My advice: Just go for a drink. Michael,Nottingham.

The quality of food is top notch, the service from the staff second to none, a great selection of beers and to cap it all the place is dog friendly (not just dog tolerant). Add a pleasant location and you've got the lot.

Ordered Smoked Haddock and Salmon Fishcakes - which came with salad and chips. Chips were very pale, limp and soggy. Fishcakes had no discernible fish or seafood flavour - just tasted like slightly salty mashed potato in a greasy batter! Starters were better. Have eaten here previously and it was quite good. Very disappointed.

The Ship had been recommended by friends, so four of us booked a table for 8pm. Wo of us tried the large cod and chips (about £15), but were rather disappointed. The fish was good, but the chips only warm, and the mushy peas quite cool. The service was good, and the staff did ask if everything was ok, which... More

We were lucky to stumble on this little gem on a lovely sunny day. Sat inside at first to enjoy the quaint wooden pub.The inside had a nice feel and ambiance to it. We then sat outside to enjoy a pint while watching the boats and soaking up the sun. We didn't eat there but they did have a very... More
