The Ship sits on Red Wharf Bay, one of the most picturesque sea side locations in North Wales and the pub itself looks full of old world charm from the outside but sadly lacks that very character inside. We wanted to like it, we really did and to give it a chance visited on two occasions in 2015 & 2016... More

Our holidays to Anglesey always include a trip to the Ship Inn. Such a lovely little quaint pub. We ordered cheese sandwiches and a side of chips and they tasted amazing. Sat next to the open fire it was absolute bliss. We will be back!!! Would recommend a diversion out of your journey to visit here.

Nice fire roaring in the hearth. Low ceilings and beams, nautical themed décor. Had a couple of sandwiches and drinks, food fine but nothing special, presentation most probably hasn't changed in the last 20 years. On a nice day I could appreciate why people would sit outside with a drink to enjoy the views across the bay.

6 in party plus dog. The room where dogs can accompany you is small and not as nice as the rest of the pub, but at least you can take them in. The food was served swiftly and the service was good. We ate, fish and chips, fish cakes and chips and ham and cheese melt. All really nice. The... More

First of all the pub is in a lovely quiet and relaxing peaceful location. And inside the pub is the same lovely old fashioned decor very cosy and welcoming with a nice log fire roaring away in the corner. Was like stepping back in time to the 13th century as soon as I stepped through the door. Absolutely loved the... More

I can't understand why having a dog means that the room you have to sit in isn't afforded at least candles on the table or nice lighting or furniture as the rest of the pub - I can get that they don't want dogs everywhere but really? I felt quite cross actually . Rest of pub was more attractive, staff... More

Came here with two children (3 and 1) and stayed in the family room. Lovely quaint pub with friendly staff. Slightly expensive £16 for two pints, a half a pint , soft drink and fruit shoot but I expect the view in the day is worth it!

We visited on a Sunday and it was very busy, booking advised although you can get a table if willing to wait. We were very pleased to find that it had a seperate room for families/children.so that adults could dine in peace. The portions are large but very good, we really enjoyed our sunday roast meal and even though I... More
