This was our second choice venue, the first thankfully letting us down. It is a charming looking Pub in an idyllic location overlooking the Irish Sea. We both feared that we would be let down inside, but not so. It is just as nice inside as out, and the food was awesome. Mine in particular was a 'melt in your... More

Beautiful day. Sat outside and enjoyed a prawn sandwich and chips. Lovely. Sunshine. View of the bay. Cheerful staff. We will return.

On the first night of a 10 day holiday on Anglesey, while walking the Coast Path, we visited The Ship Inn. We opted for the excellent Timothy Tailors Landlord beer, served brilliantly. Although only 6.00 on a Thursday evening, the pub was filling up with diners. We both had fish and chips, though mine was the catch of the day,... More

We were stopping where we could see this restaurant, it is right on Red Wharf Bay and has spectacular scenery but as far as the service and the food is concerned, it is appalling. We visited this Inn the day before for a drink and were advised to book a table for the next night, this we did. We arrived... More

Really busy but disappointing and expensive , you pay for the location and its high. Small fish and chips £9. No salads on the menu. Sandwiches expensive and mediocre As I say it's the location

Went here several times while on holiday in Red wharf bay for a drink and to sit in the sun enjoying the views. Ate here once but weren't impressed with the food but perhaps we chose the wrong dishes. Had fish and chips having read reviews saying how good they were, the portions of chips were small and they were... More

You will have seen this scenario in many an old black and white movie - ancient smugglers inn, complete with oak beams, log fires and the waves lapping at the front door. Once inside the illusion is often shattered. Not at the Ship Inn. This is the real deal. Nothing has been missed or overlooked into making this welcoming step... More

Dropped in after walking from Benllech. Tide was too high to walk along the sands so cut through the caravan park. Was going to have lunch at the relatively new restaurant on the caravan Park but was told very abruptly that it's bookings only. It was lovely weather and very busy but the waiter was super unfriendly. However back to... More
