The restaurant is part of the Castle House hotel and we sat in the snug as we had our dog with us. The food is a cut above the usual pub fare and we enjoyed our meal. The sea bass and salmon were excellent and the steak pie was full to bursting with meat although would have welcomed slightly more... More

Visited here good Friday with wife for late lunch. Had a nice table in the bar. Just opted for fish and chips each with no starters. Chips were more like wedges that were more than well cooked and the menu stated hand made crushed peas and they were just garden peas. It was still pleasent, but no where near as... More

Thank you for your review, and great to read our team have excelled again and that you enjoyed our courtyard, however I'm very sorry to read you feel we are over priced, we try very hard to give value, we use fresh local produce which costs a little more, so we aren't cheap, but we do hope to think we... Stayed at the Castle hotel on a package that included the first nights meal. We eat from the bar menu but we're seated in the restaurant which was nice as it was a little quieter however I think this was not the norm. The food was bang on especially the steak which was so tender it was untrue and perfectly... More

Food is lovely though it can be expensive for lunch. I love their haddock & chorizo risotto which is reasonable for under £10. My husband loves the club sandwich which is served with a side salad & fries for under £12 so you can eat eat here for a reasonable cost. The staff are friendly & helpful. I enjoy the... More

We've eaten here twice recently, and both meals have been faultless. Excellent service (the staff are faultless) in really nice surroundings, excellent house wine and really very good food. Perhaps the best please in Conwy to eat. It's not a Michelin Star Restaurant, but doesn't pretend to be. It's just a very good reliable restaurant. Some lovely touches, (like home... More

Thank you so much for your review! We really are believers in fresh is best and use lots of local suppliers and producers. Both the food and service has gone down hill big time since our last visit, very disappointed with the over priced food and can't be bothered attitude of the staff. High end price for a Brewers Fayre experience.

Very sorry to read you had a less than satisfactory experience with us. It seems we let ourselves down from our usual high standards. I do hope you will re-visit to allow us to put right what we appear to have got wrong on your last visit. After all, if we've gone down hill, and you've been before, you know... More

Far better food than what the trip advisor average suggested! The food is amazing and uses almost exclusively local products. Amazing!

We've eaten here a couple of times and both experiences were lovely. Terrific service and the meals were served piping hot. My only complaint was that the meals took a while to arrive but in honesty, the restaurant was very busy. Loved the Christmas decorations too!! :-)
