Go to Jail pass Go

My partner and I decided on a day out and headed for Little Dean Jail (in case it was open) some reviews were dated in February although the website says it opens in March. We got locked out not open till March. So off we trotted driving to wherever and we ended up in Abergavenny. We had a stroll... read more

It was OK - a very cheap, old-school pub menu but it's not a pub setting. It was a bit sterile and old - It probably wasn't the best place for a young couple! The pate was a non-spreadable terrine and it was tasteless. The toast was dry, cold and burnt. They give a big selection of microwaved vegetables -... More

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience and that not everything was to your taste. I can assure you that all our vegetables and roast joints are cooked fresh for our Sunday lunch service. Our terrine is a very popular homemade product however if we had known that you were not... Have been a few times for lunch to the Greyhound Vaults and can't fault it. Quite a good menu and the service is very good and the staff very helpful. My husband had an omelette with chips and a sizeable salad, he said it was delicious. I had the land for a second time, lots of lamb, a side dish... More

Went here for Sunday lunch, ordering the pate and beef. The meal was good considering the price point (it's £10.95 vs £16+ in other places for two courses). Starter was average. Main was satisfying with a large selection of vegetables. Beef was slightly tough/overcooked but the gravy had good depth. Nice individual selection of vegetables, though I would've preferred more than... More

The best leg of lamb meals I've ever had. Everything of a high standard for the price. Starters and sweets generous. service good.

2 course sunday lunch for only £10.25 and they served both chicken roast (my partners favourite) and lamb roast (my favourite) accompanied by a huge selection of vegetables and prompt and friendly service. Washed down in the sunshine by a welsh craft cider, perfect.

It was very tasty but i should have been offered extra veg in... More
