Following the funeral of our dad we wanted a small but safe family gathering and meal where we could be together, which as you can imagine is difficult at the current times. The Kings Arms provided the solution. We were able to bring our family...together in a safe environment with us all sat on tables in our separate family 'bubbes' in the hotels large function area. Social distancing rules were complied throughout. Food served was delicious and enjoyed by all. Staff were excellent, both sensitive to the reason we were there but also safe and courteous in the way were all waited on. Thank you to Kings Arms and all its staff for making a gathering in such difficult circumstances safe and enjoyable.More

Lively place to eat and have a drink food is pretty good here. Staff are friendly however if your expecting to sit outside having a pint or food on a nice day it is dog central here. Love dogs I have a dog but owners...seem to love listening to their dogs yapping away barking and growling at each other without considering people enjoying food. Some owners have dogs sat quite well behaved, staff don’t seem to approach dog owners asking them to whiten them down. Other thing I noticed was off duty staff members enjoying a pint here after work visiting every single table almost socialising with people they know. I noticed one staff member visit 8 different tables with Groups sat on.More

It’s a big place & many were sitting outside, so customers were rattling around a bit inside making for a flat ambience but the food was very good. Service was efficient & friendly.

Went to the king's arms pub for a quiet drink with friends to mark a year since a friend's passing. All was well until my friend had an issue with her drink and politely asked the waiter to change it as she asked for a...double not a single. The waiter disputed the matter and walked off to see what had happened. From nowhere a young man who worked in front of the house bombarded towards us very aggressively. Shouting “you're taking the piss and bullying staff because you are trying to pull a fast one “ I addressed him and explained that wasn’t the case. The waiter continued to shout at me and my friends and we were in absolute shock. He walked off. My friends and I called the previous waiter and asked him if we came across as rude because we were very upset that we might offended someone and he said “ no , not at all! Don’t listen to him, I haven’t even said anything to him .” my late friend’s mother went in side ( as you can imagine already upset due to the recent anniversary) and spoke to the manager who fair play sorted the first complaint about the drink out and apologised for her staffs behaviour and stated that she had pulled away for serving outside where we was sat and he would not bother us anymore. then they cocked up the bill and accused us of underpaying £11 so we had to go over each and every payment we had made until it was resolved. Honesty what a shambles left with a sour taste in my mouth.More

We called at short notice for a table of 5 on a Tuesday evening and they accommodated. The food and service were great with the only negative being they had sold out of chicken wings. I had the squid to start with the cheese burger...for main. Worth a tryMore
