We should have known when we saw how scruffy the place was and how off hand the 'waitress' was to have turned around and walked out. We decided to risk it but it turned out to be a Greek Fawlty Towers. Blaring TV, waitress not knowing what was on the menu, dropping plates and then putting them on our table,... More

I held a large (56 eating, a few more for drinks afterwards) private birthday party in the Greek a couple of weeks ago, and am just about recovering from the very enjoyable event. Organising a large group can cause stress, but the owners, Iorgos and Vas, made the whole process seem simple. They were very helpful at all times, from... More

When we walked in there there was no staff around, we thought it was closed until a man reading a newspaper spoke to us and confirmed they were open and serving. Food was nice we had humour to start and chicken kebabs with rice, but the service was very slow, it took 2 reminders to bring our drinks which came... More

Not sure if we just went on a bad day , but we won't be going back. We ordered the mezze and got what we ordered but went away hungry. Value for money was not good. Staff were friendly and eager to please, which is why I am giving this 2 stars and not 1. Avoid unless you like drunk... More

We always look forward to eating here but unfortunately wasn't up to the usual standard. The food was average with the meat being very tuff and almost inedible, the owner was very pleasant and knocked of one of the mains without us even having to ask. It may have just been a bad night!

This place is beautiful. The food is very good, and the drinks are reasonably priced which makes for a great excuse to bask in the fascinating surroundings here, which I really urge you to check out. There is a wide selection of traditional Greek food, including a range of exotic seafood and a number of vegetarian choices that i can... More

We did not even have time to eat or drink here, but we were made to feel welcome and invited to wander about this curious and delightful find in Bangor. They were hanging Christmas lights when we wandered in, and they said even though we were not able to stay we were welcome any time. Nice people and pretty surroundings.... More

I don't know why so few people go to the Greek during the day? Really good, authentic Greek food. In fantastic, quirky surroundings that you won't get anywhere else in Bangor. Not to mention old George is one of the nicest men in the world.
