Me and some friends visited here for lunch whilst staying in Aberystwyth for the weekend... and has to be the worst food I've had. It is so deceiving from the outside as it looks pleasant and inviting, however the food was inedible. My friend and I ordered the chicken burger which was disgusting, we also found a hair in our... We walked in off the street and got a table here in on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy, and we were placed at a table right next to the door, meaning that when anyone came in or left, we felt an icy blast. I ordered pan-fried duck in orange and honey sauce, my girlfriend and daughter chose vegetarian... More

Good staff and very welcoming. Food wasn't great. Chicken could have been cooked slower to be more tender, and fish I am told wasn't cooked well. Nice ambience that was slightly spoilt by someone clumping around with heavy shoes. Not what you need when enjoying a quiet meal. Wouldn't hurry back to be honest

There is a menu for children and plenty of seating. We were served swiftly, but did not exactly felt welcome. And it wasn’t even that busy. Our lunch consisted of a baguette, sandwiches and a toasted sandwich. It tasted just okay, the quality of the homemade pate wasn't good. The cranberry jam on the Brie baguette tasted disappointingly cheap. The... More

Wow, so pleased we found this place. Friendly, quick service. Good menu, and the food was delicious. Generous portion sizes, fresh, and so tasty! We were intending to eat at Weatherspoons across the road at the station, but it was too busy and lacked atmosphere. So so glad we decided to visit La Figaro instead - better food, lovely atmosphere,... More

Called in for a coffee as it was mid morning and we had driven for an hour and a half. Barman was excellent and even though he was busy - took time out to chat and enquire about his customers. He stopped to give directions to various people - even though they did not buy anything.

We went for Sunday lunch and came out stuffed. Loads of meat and veg supplied for the meal. I had on my plate, half lamb and beef, yorkie pud with two pigs in blanket inside it, two huge roast and three boiled potatoes, a mound of peas and home made stuffing. We were also presented with a dish of mashed... More

Been to here several times, food is always fresh and delicious. I love seeing the food I'm about to eat fresh on the counter, and being able to order any cocktail from The Cambrian is a bonus. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and the ambience is relaxing. Great place.
