Fantastic meal here today for Sunday lunch. My partner is a vegetarian and his meal was also great. So well presented and tastes as good of not better than it looks. Desserts are to die for!! The staff are friendly and the place has a great atmosphere. You pay a little bit more than your average sunday lunch but rightly... More

Went here for the firm's Xmas do. As part of the organisation, everyone had had to choose their meals in advance. When we got there, they had not seen the orders for the side dishes, and when they did see them, found that they hadn't got some of things ordered. Took ages for the (excellent and unusual black pudding and... More

This used to be my regular Having moved away a few years ago decided to reminisce and celebrate a double birthday here. It's gone slightly upper market on its food presentation which I personally thinks a shame as it feels overpriced now for what you get. It was nice food but not amazing. The saving grace though it does have... More

We ate here this weekend after visiting Worcester Uni, and found it to be a charmingly decorated and inviting Pub. Though we hadn't booked the barman was able to find us a table for 3 without having to wait too long. Whilst at the bar waiting for our food we were able to observe the kitchen staff as it has... The food at the Old Rec is consistently exceptional. You may need to try each and everyone of the cocktails, although they do change the list regularly, so you might need to go back(!) Warm restaurant downstairs, ideal for couples or groups, make sure you go and listen to the DJ and have a post-dinner drink upstairs after though.

What a fantastic restaurant, from the moment we arrived we were welcomed by helpful and smiling staff. Vicky the waitress who showed us to our table was exceptionally friendly and professional throughout our dining experience. The food was served without delay and was presented well, delicious and fulfilling. Prices were not extortionate and the service was excellent throughout, if you... More

Not quite sure how we've missed this is Worcester until now - what an absolute gem. Great service on arrival, given time to sit and have a drink at the bar before being seated at our table. From here on in our evening just got better and better - we had two 'servers'; pretty sure one was the Manager but... More

We were visiting our son, who is in the food industry, and had a meal here on a Thursday night. Between us we had scallops, mussels and quail for starters which were all very good. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and kept the drinks coming which, whilst good, were quite expensive. All was going well until our main... More

We were a late booking, managing to get a table at just after 2pm, and we had the last available servings of the roast beef and roast pork. Testament, surely, to the quality of the food offered. Both came with nice Yorkies, cheesy broccoli, roast spuds and green veg. Puddings were decent too, although served on somewhat odd slate tiles... More

A little pretentious Customers not allowed to have a menu until the kitchen was ready for us to order ! Unbelievable ! Then the staff member insisted on taking our card ( contactless ) ( btw) and holding it behind the bar which as we all know they are capable of taking a swipe copy of the card details without...
