We called in for a quick evening meal, a spur of the moment decision. As the name suggests the menu has a french feel although we did not meet any french staff. Nevertheless, we received a warm welcome. The restaurant has continental bistro feel with nicely spaced tables, wood floors etc creating a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is extensive with... More

We had the set menu (the one available mid-week and until 7pm on Fri and Sat), which was outstanding in every way - excellent food and very good value.

Windsor is overloaded with "chain" restaurants designed for tourists. As a resident it is a pleasure to find somewhere with ambience. Great food, quiet jazz music (when its not busy) and very good wine by the glass. Perfect if you get a table not under the down lights. Dimmer switch would be a good idea.

It's a little above average in price but you get what you pay for. I had the steak - it was tender as you like and the flavour was all there. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very homey. I would highly recommend eating here - and do have the chocolate fondant if you want ooze you... More

Amongst all the pubs and chains of places to eat my wife found this little gem on the high st As it was my birthday she had phoned ahead to order champagne on arrival however they did not stock our favourite pink tipple however they said they would go out and buy a bottle especially for us which was on... I wish there was a rating below Very Good and above Average. The food is well prepared. The service is excellent. The winelist offers plenty of choice at a range of price points. It just doesn't rise to the level of somewhere to go out of your way to visit...but do not avoid A la Russe

That was a very comfy and cosy restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Food was delicious, prices reasonable and both the waiter and the barman nice and attending. A place to return for delicious food. Thank you!

Right opposite the castle this place is not too bad. The rib eye steak was very reasonable in price compared to many other places but the quality was average - a fare bit of grissle for a rib-eye - see photo - peppercorn sauce nice. As they are french it would have been better if they served fries (as was... More
