I contacted the Pheasant as I wanted to host a surprise birthday party for his 40th. Right from the start Szymon and his team were really accommodating and helpful with easy, quick communication and friendly service. The evening itself was a massive success with everyone commenting how good the food was. We had a lovely private area in the bar... More

A lovely, quaint place, with beams! They sell Summer Lightning, a Local Ale from the nearby brewery, Hopback, who are based in the nearby village of Downton. This ale is not available in the village - so it was a pleasant surprise to come in and get it here! A lovely atmosphere and great for visiting for a quiet drink... More

Visited before Christmas for an acoustic music evening. Although the pub was busy, all food came out on time and was great value for money. Nice clean, cosy traditional pub and friendly staff.

I took my family for lunch here and I had scampi tails and chips, the pea purée that came with it was in solid mass which I was able to pick up with my folk as it was formed in a block and was inedible. There were very few scampi tails but what there was tasted nice. My eldest son... More

Nice pub and the food was nice but my friend was Asked for I.D to buy soup by the gentlemen behind the bar at 7 o'clock in the evening and when she asked why was answered with 'that's what you get when you come to the pub without your parents'. She is 21 and wasn't drinking and therefore we found... More

If you want to escape from these grey skies and the cold winds, then head for The Pheasant. The warmth and snugness hits the moment you enter. The staff are welcoming and attentive in a quiet way. Hiding from the cold we were tempted to choose a comfort dish of creamy mashed potatoes, topped with three Lincolnshire sausages, onion gravy... More

Even though it took 30 minutes to get as they forgot to print the ticket to the kitchen and others at my table were served first even though they arrived much later then me. The staff was good in my opinion as they apologize. The Caesar Salad with chicken my wife enjoyed also.

This pub has changed hands several times over the last few years but now the current pub is by far one of the best in Salisbury in my opinion. There is a lovely old pub feel but the décor is beautifully done and welcoming, there is also a log fire in the winter and a lovely little courtyard which is... More
